  1. The Hobby Shop, Faversham have one DRS 68005 left if anyone is interested (as of an hour ago) due to a cancelled ordered... (when looking for a 005 to replace mine I emailed a few people and they have come back to me just now). http://hobb-e-mail.com/contact-us-2-w.asp
  2. I rang Ian Allan Waterloo this morning and his 4D-022-002 - 68005 have all gone (they had 4 in yesterday and all sold already). But Grimmy Times still have some of both the DRS versions i think. I might try and ping the plates off my 68005 and move them up by 0.5m to cover the glue, if I dont feel brave enough will probably sell the loco now i've purchased another.
  3. I haven't tried to remove the glue, I did try and pick at the plates so I could maybe move them up a very small amount but they seemed to be glued on very hard on mine
  4. I contacted Dapol about the badly applied nameplates on my 68005 and they weren't interested in helping all they said pretty much was were now sold out.... Hopefully on the next batch Dapol actually check the quality next time before releasing the models... I have spoken to one model shop this morning who had to send all their DRS ones back due to quality issues with plates, wiring etc as the quality wasn't good enough to send them out, this is a nice thing to do rather than just ship shoddy models to the customer and try and take their money.

  6. I contacted Hattons today about the glue issue on my 68005 and they have confirmed they have no more DRS 68005s in stock and won't be getting anymore either so I can't swap for another, expected that answer but thought I'd check
  7. Some images of mine with the iffy nameplates and glue showing.... can't say I'm overly happy, £123 is a lot of money to spend out when the glue is quite obvious. It's ruined a nice loco in my opinion
  8. I ordered a 68005 from Hattons yesterday, was just two left at the time. Loco arrived today, lovely looking loco spoilt by the glue around the nameplate. Undecided on whether to send it back as if I do doubt will get another. Would have been better if Dapol had just supplied etched plates like Bachmann do for the customer to stick on... the plates are at least straight!
  9. Ordered a 57305 from Derails and it arrived today very well packaged... nice note inside to say it had been tested as well plus a friendly call from Dan... will certainly pre order more from these guys. They also honoured the original price from the pre order Thanks Mark
  10. I pre ordeeed a 47832 from Derails as well, main reason being the price and when I pre ordered other stuff they have always been friendly and gone the extra mile to say thanks etc.
  11. Hi All Yeah sorry I meant just a general photo of the model as I couldn't find any and wasn't sure on the difference between 063 and 081 etc Cheers Mark
  12. Hi all I just wondered if anyone has any photos of 24063 as I haven't been able to find any? I'm tempted to order one from SLW and just wondered how much different to 24081 it looks? Thanks Mark
  13. I ordered from them late April after chasing like you did I logged a PayPal claim to get the money back If they are no longer trading makes you wonder why they can't add a note to the home page of the website It's a shame as they did some good stuff
  14. I raised an order around 25th April 2016, it hasn't arrived so I activated a refund on PayPal It's beyond me why they don't add a note to the site to say we are not supplying products, I chased by email and phone and got no response.... Not a very fair way to treat fellow enthusiasts/modellers, as can only assume they are into railways as well rather than just a business
  15. Thanks for the above very handy... Everard Jcn is my favourite which I managed to find before Xmas and enjoy his how to videos.. Looking forward to seeing how the carriage shed turns out Started to watch DaveClass47 last night and this looks really good as well so will watch some more of that later Cheers Mark
  16. Thanks all, I managed to get the cab off, took a couple of mins using the above , I slid a couple of thin pieces of card into each side, wiggled the cab until it started moving All the windows bar the main front ones had fallen out Mark
  17. Hi All I just wondered if anyone could add any tips to remove the cab on a Bachmann 08 body please? Reason I ask is the Windows have fallen out and are battling around the in the cab and I want to re fit I can get the body off the chassis ok but struggling to get the cab off and hoping there might be a tip Thanks Mark
