American O gauge is odd to say the least - even models in the thousands of dollars that are clearly not intended for the train set market are still produced with three-rail versions as a matter of course!
Three-pack containing the ex-Thomas 0-4-0 in three separate liveries - Great Northern, Midland, and LNWR, commemorating Hornby's fine history of producing fictitious 0-4-0s in brightly coloured liveries!
Pictures of the UK range at Warley in this thread. Looks identical to the US range as expected, if there are changes to comply with regulations they're under the hood. I am surprised at the inclusion of the G Scale range; I was under the impression it had somewhat underperformed.
Is it possible? Like many I have fallen prey to the issue where the one connecting the valve gear to the centre wheel has fallen out. I have the crankpin - can I reinsert it?
Bachmann are definitely aiming for the adult market - see their big new releases for 2020 being the relatively obscure Daisy and Peter Sam as opposed to new main characters of the CGI series Rebecca and Nia.
I rather suspect this is the real motive - a way to offload non-selling stock, and hopefully create some new customers while they're at it. This explains why the train packs included are marketed as singular items, and why there has been no attempt to provide descriptions of the contents.
How exactly is this done? I gather that a small section of the front of the loco must be removed, but how precisely is this done? The instructions do not display its removal and I am unable to find anything online about removing it and fitting the coupling.
While not one to especially concern myself about accuracy the question did occur to me upon looking at Hornby's models - when did the last W4 in commercial service cease being used? I've done some brief digging and all I can find is one was scrapped on-site at Cransley iron works in 1966 - when did this stop operating, and were there any that carried on past 1966?
They are Creative Commons if you (presuming you hold the copyright to them) license them as such. Flickr has instructions on how to change the license of an image. The license that an image is under is prominently displayed on its page underneath its date.
What is necessary for Unitrack electric points? Obviously the point itself, a point switch and cables, but what type of cable? Kato have multiple types. And is there anything else required?
In my experience Imgur is the best for image hosting on its own. Who knows how long it will stay that way though, unfortunately free image hosting does not seem to be profitable.
