It's a boring Sunday afternoon, no trains to play with and my mind is wandering.So what is the largest private or club OO layout in the UK? Garden,multi level or whatever. I fancy a challenge!

I have recently been "gifted" a box of Jouef and Lima points. They are in to good a condition to chuck away so l thought about using them in the fiddle yard. They have (l think) point motors attached and holes for the wires to be attached. Now normally Google is my friend in such cases but not this time, so does anyone have any idea how to wire them up?

It may be a trade secret or you may not be allowed to say but what is mark up on Hornby items? Before anyone bites my head off l am fully aware of the costs of running a shop, l used to run one,(not model) so l would think given the limited market for sales a profit of 25% would be the lowest l would go for. Anyone want to put there head above the parapit and put me right.

With the cost of coaches topping £50 hows this for an idea. Put them together yourself. Instead of getting the coach ready to run in a nice flash box you get in a plastic bag and you just clip it together at home instead of a lady in China doing it. Packageing costs reduced, shipping costs reduced as you can fit more in a smaller space etc. Simple really.

Try a bit of skip diving? It's amazing what builders throw out, MDF off cuts, old work surface chipboard etc, much stronger than cardboard. Although you should ask first this often lights pound signs up in builders eyes but you can always walk away. (and go back at night SAS style!) -
I to have invested in the Tam Valley system for use on an 00 garden railway. It seems the best, if not the only, system for use with DCC and you can still use your existing DCC controllers so no new expense. Now comes the problem. When it comes to soldering or wireing l am all fingers and thumbs. Anyone know of anyone who offers a fitting sevice for this sort of thing? Sourceing batteries and chargers seems a minefield as well for a bear of little brain like me as well, so no help or suggestions turned away.
