Here's my little Supermarine Spitfire MK1a in 1:72 scale, the first Airfix model I've made since I was a kid. Also have some other models ready to build, I'm particularly looking forward to building the Avro Lancaster.

Following this thread with interest. I'm a Crosby lad myself and grew up on Coronation Road before leaving the country in 1976, but still get back quite often (I'm still a season ticket holder at Anfield). Lots of names and places being mentioned that I'm familiar with. We used to go and watch the steam locos at the crossing on St. John's Road in Waterloo on the Liverpool to Southport line when we were kids. Good luck with the project.

Autocoach As an aside to this thread, I see you're located in Walnut Creek. I'm working there at the moment doing a project for BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit). I visited Just Trains in Concord last week, nice shop but nothing in OO gauge of course. Sorry for the interruption, let's get back on track or to the point(s).
