  1. Hi Dave, I've only just caught up with this thread, and it looks like I've missed your show. Those wagons look great, thanks for the plug, I did wonder why I suddenly had a little flurry of sales! Not much going on in development at the moment, plenty of non railway stuff happening, and a house move this year or next, but will get back to designing at some point. Cheers, Eddie.
  2. I had a look at this one on Saturday. Very nice indeed. Eddie.
  3. ^Do you mean pre-nationalisation rather than pre-grouping?
  4. Hi Jerry. Great work, but what happened to the other S&DJR open? Also, is the MR open a 3D print or is that from the Association kit? Cheers, Eddie.
  5. Some Farish wooden minerals in the process of being weathered into early BR condition. No that isn't fiNetrax track!
  6. Ah ok, thanks. No change then. Very expensive if you wanted to do smaller items with several parts. I could get the hump when I think about iMaterialise allowing choice of orientation, but not multiple or sprued parts in the same print, and Shapeways the opposite of this. Cheers, Eddie.
  7. Does iMaterialise allow you to do stuff as kits of parts now? They didn't used to. That looks great. Cheers, Eddie.
  8. Thanks Mark. It's just Enamels, applied in various ways and states of thickness with cotton buds, cocktail sticks and brushes. I did this one about 15 years ago actually. Cheers, Eddie.
  9. And flexible as well perhaps. I had problems getting open wagons accepted with sides and floor less than .8mm thick, but that was a couple of years ago, I made van sides slightly thicker than that even in the interests of rigidity. Cheers, Eddie.

If they do I'm going to have to revise all of my designs likewise. Cheers, Eddie.
  11. Thanks for the plug Dave! Would it be cheeky of me to mention here that I also have SER, MR and S&DJR wagons in my range? Cheers, Eddie.
  12. I read that the model of "Como" in the Brighton museum is considered to be the closest surviving match to Stroudley Improved Engine Green, but apparently even the tender and engine are a slightly different shade! Cheers, Eddie.
  13. There is a drawing of No. 400 in the book "locomotives worth modelling" Cheers Eddie.
  14. Also in that photo I noticed how close the points are to the buffer stops, just enough room for a terrier or maybe a D tank.
  15. http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/c/central_croydon/central_croydon_old1.jpg Central Croydon sometime before it closed in 1890. Was looking for wagons, found buffer stops.
  16. Ok mate, thanks very much. That's all good to know.
  17. Hello Mitchell, Sorry to stray from topic, but can you tell me when Shapeways are going to introduce choice of orientation of print?
  18. It was very helpful to me recently to know that Mitchell was an employee of Shapeways, and a railway modeller, through reading some of his previous posts in this group, and he very kindly helped me out with some advice recently after I contacted him directly. Shapeways customer service seems pretty good, but I needed to speak to someone who knows what a solebar is. Nice stuff by the way fella.
  19. I too had to ditch a project because of this seemingly ridiculous policy. I can only find 46 scale models on the I-materialise site, compared to the many hundreds on shapeways. Those 46 include certain NSR brakevans, and a couple of other obviously sprued models, so the real total of models actually for sale must be even lower.
  20. Repainted Bachmann, except for the AVB one at the far end in the first pic which is parkside body on scratchy U/F. Ruston's 7mm minerals are doing it for me... I just spotted the missing door spring on the middle pic.
