  1. Perfectly OK Richard. I am on medication for my mental health, I have discovered there are many members of my family, friends and colleagues with similar or related issues. When I can make myself get out on my bike I find it helps. I too find Christmas stressful for a variety of reasons. I hope we can all get out the other side of the 25th into a less bad place.
  2. I didn't skip over your post Richard. I read it, saw you had reported the water pipe removal before anyone else on here, after I got home. I ticked the (i) box after reading your post. This was in advance of me adding my photographs. Sorry if I gave the wrong impression.
  3. Views from Cock Lane bridge. Very quiet. The work force must either be working elsewhere or they have been given leave prior to working over the Christmas period:
  4. Tuesday 22nd December. Views from Hurn Road bridge of temporary rubber and concrete crossing:
  5. There's been a winter roost of Little Egrets in the Deeping Lakes Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust reserve for several years. Little Egrets and other egret species used to be limited to southern Europe but they have colonised the UK with global warming meaning they can thrive here all year round. It's the same for species like Spoonbills too.
  6. Thinking more about my situation, I have been visiting my parents, sometimes with food and drink, since mid March so this would constitute a support bubble.
  7. Good advice. A bit of exercise and fresh air can still be enjoyed provided you don't get too close to other people. I was supposed to be visiting my daughter for Christmas in Southend but that will have to be postponed. I am not sure I will be able to visit my parents who will be staying home the other side of Peterborough. I must get out on the bike during my time off from work and watch progress on the dive under and the local wildlife. Stay safe everyone. The Little Egret was back yesterday:
  8. Saturday 19th December. Views from Hurn Road bridge. Concrete 'driveway' plus more rubber planks.
  9. I noticed some rubber surfaced crossing 'planks' being installed just south of Hurn Lane bridge this morning. Lots of orange coated workers and vans there too.
  10. I was planning to get out on the bike today but will stay indoors with the cat and watch the mud and machines instead...
