At long last I have nearly finished my signal. It has has taken a while but I am really pleased with the results. Just hand rails and ladder to do to finish!

I have got the castings and was thinking of gluing them but not sure what to use to space them apart.

Any good ideas on how to make the 4 rail post that doesn’t involve soldering? Cheers Graham

I would really like to have a go at building one myself, I have never tried to build a signal before. It looks like the bracket truss is going to be the hardest part.

Hi Peter Just found your post. How have you got on with the signalling? I found your post after reading Allen Jackson’s book, Signalling and Signal Boxes along the LSWR, which as a good section on Marchwood. Have you see this book? The signal shown on the front cover is at Marchwood and is of the type I need for my layout. I was wondering if you had managed to find any details? Cheers Graham

Jack The large pipe on the left hand side of the smoke box is aluminium rod bent to shape with a pipe flange cut from a sheet of paper. The other two brass valves are from left over parts from a M7 kit with brass wire going under the boiler. Similar parts can also be found in the Dapol Schools kit. Hope this helps. Graham
