The original suggestion here was for brand new development above the new Euston. So problems with converting redundant offices are irrelevant. Whether anyone could invest in such for 50 years of rent is the more relevant issue. I would doubt that they could be built as "affordable", perhaps very high end?

We have a local roundabout that has recently been moved, however some individuals are finding things hard. Almost all caused by poor driving, poor lane keeping and even poorer sign reading.
Turning right onto a roundabout is a rather extreme form of poor lane keeping. 🤨

Exactly, no rotation needed, and a better plan, watering facilities can be provided on the loop if required for bankers.

I can assure you that's not the case. With most of these large projects, delays to the program are the biggest cost by quite a margin.
Yet the self same delays are imposed by the government supposedly to save costs. 😆

Having personally worked on M23 machines, they are actually bigger than the Machines made by Peco although mainly in height, the length will be very close. I suggest you recheck dimensions.
Personally I use Servo drivers that come as MERG kits but I'm sure that sketches for Arduinos are available.
Note how far it overhangs the two extended timbers.
Good drawings here, albeit the older versions that I worked on.
They used to be Westinghouse of course.

Hi,Ah, I see, the problem is that there are OLE wires for a wired route crossing the unwired route a train could be travelling along.
By the time the trains reached this, having run off the wires for it’s own route, the pantograph head would be between the contact wire and caternary wire and therefore tear through the wire and in turn bring down the OLE wires across the entire junction.
Simon
So a rather silly attempt to save a bit on the OLE design. Penny wise pound foolish!

Your dummy motor is significantly under scale size, the Peco one I used for the demo is correct size although not correctly located. A scale size motor will easily cover the servo horn.
As for the batter, you have to create enough level are for the extended timbers that carry the motor, anf the servo goes under the motor so should not be an issue. And we are not talking big hole, the servo I used is 6mm wide x 20mm long.
Using servos you need a servo driver and you can have a relay working with that for frog polarity switching.
-
Ditch the linear actuators and use micro servos driving direct from the servo horn, recess the servo into the top of the board and put your dummy point motor over it.
This was a quick proof of concept,
The dummy motor can easily be arranged not to move when doing a proper installation.

The problem being with the kit instruction writers not having understood what they have made. IMHO
The large pulley will have teeth so that the loop does not slip, there are special designs for these teeth to fit with chains.
The other chain will be secured to the small pulley (drum really) so it winds onto it when lifting. The drum has to be designed to take the amount of chain needed for the maximum lift, not a lot with these sort of cranes.
The way the instructions suggest there is no possible way for the operator to raise the load. 🙂
Ps. There also needs to be another control to lock and release the pulleys.
The ratio one does get rigged correctly, although with a triple reduction gear it will take a heavier load but be much slower. https://www.buffersmodelrailways.com/ratio-531-yard-crane-plastic-kit-oo-scale

3. Mixed Buckeye and screw coupled vehicles when owing to teh absence of adaptorsit is not possible for the gangway connection to be made gangway adaptors must be placed on the adjacent ends of the vehicles.
How can one fit adapters if there are none available? Are shields supposed to be fitted somewhere?

The pictures are not clear, especially the Metcalfe one which has the chain on the large pulley falling off.
There are two chains, a loop round the large pulley. The chain from the load is wound up onto the small pulley.
The difference in diameters gives roughly a 3 to one advantage when pulling on the loop to raise the load.

The latest RAIB report does mention that they are assisting with establishing an equivalent organisation for roads, unless I misread it.

And all the info in the Companies House database confirms that it is a subsidiary of Hornby and that the only 3 directors are Hornby directors, independent it certainly is not.

And no need for a local shunter living in the engine shed and getting in the way of parking the autocoach. The train engines can do all the shunting required.

My Lenz, Zimo, ZTC, MERG, Digitrax, Soundtrax, NCE decoders set it by CV29, not 12 and you enable or disable DC, when it is enabled it works just as you describe, the decoder looks at the waveform to see if it is DCC or DC and reacts accordingly, just as you described.
This should not be a surprise its discussed in just about every description of the DCC system.
However the ability of the software to accurately select varies among brands and some combinations of DC controllers and decoders work badly, and some decoders suffer fromrunaways when encountering shorts or power interruptions on DCC, when this occurs then its advisable to disable DC if you don't need it.

You could do this automatically not that anyone has been brave enough to do it. DCC is a repetitive pulse train so if you made your software switch to DCC if it saw it and default to DC if it didn't.
Well most DCC decoders do exactly that. So the HM7000 could also if the program was so written. But since it has an alternate way of swithing via CV12 using the app, then that automatic feature is not needed.
-
Surely the incoming DCC is seperate from the Loconet as shown in the diagrams. Presumably your modular standard has a DCC connection board to board that will provide the feed if using someone elses command station. What you have shown as +ve and -ve, more commonly labelled as J and K (following Lenz).
Incidentally, in your diagram it should be the +ve, red, connected to the common of the detector module, as you have it -ve, black, goes to both sides of the track when switched through the module.
-
I don't see an LN6061 on the Yamork product list. Do you mean the YD6016LN ?
Anyway I don't see any need for switching to bypass the detectors, the track current can still pass through the detectors when using a different system and the outputs are not being used.

AS I UNDERSTAND IT (?) - Lynden Davies (?) joined Hornby and brought Oxford with him. He has now left and things are changing again, but Hornby aren't really telling us what.
I expect a proper announcement soonish.
.
What makes you think Lyndon Davies has left?
Companies House thinks he is in charge

Having been the General Manager of a business of a similar turnover I have long thought Hornby have too many managers being paid unsustainable saleries.
And look at the back of the report to see just how much of an increase the top two got for running at a loss.

Take out the down escalators and there will be plenty of room for said border people to stand around and harass people leaving straight off the platform ends, plenty of room for a couple of tables and an X-ray machine to deal with suspicious baggage, and even for an interview room and body scanner for those suspected of drug smuggling.

In the 70s I'm pretty sure they would have been real banner repeaters, the LED version possibly late 90s. Ones with green LEDs not till this century.
