When I first saw that, I thought it was in B's On2½ product line and seriously looked at it for about a second or so. But then common sense kicked in.

Not so and not even close. Given the thread title, I read through it, expecting something something like a joke.
Instead, somewhat of a disappointment, c'est la vie.....
Hmmm, the original has vanished!

But, it was only a dollar at a US train show. And, I have wanted a model of MALLARD; this will have to do.
EDIT: Note that it does have a tender!!

Maybe an air rifle/pellet rifle instead?

I am whipped, I just finished
harvesting the hayer, mowing the lawn; all acre and a half or so. Luckily I have this:EDIT: The hard part (for me, anyway) is getting the ambition to get on it and start. Once on and doing the job, it is sort of fun. Note that it is capable of about 10 MPH flat out on relatively level ground.
When I first got it, I could not resist staying in one place with one arm all the way to the front and one arm all the way to the rear. It will actually rotate about it center axis leaving a circular cut in the grass.
With the arms out as in the photo, the transmission is locked and it will not move; also one has to be seated to get it to move; It can be started with out being seated as for maintenance or idling. Two safety devices that are very easy to co-operate with.
Note that the brand is HUSTLER and the model RAPTOR LIMITED.

Back when JuniorB was in kindergarten, they had a school trip, which I can only admire for its genius and simplicity, consisting of herding all the kids onto a bus, taking them to the depot and through the bus wash, then back to school. Exciting (for 5 year olds), cheap, and the kids were kept contained at all times when off school premises.
Plus, the bus needed washing anyway!

All I know about guns is that when I put the sight thing to my eye, there is a bloody great bolt in front of my face. In the CCF, the other cadets got the Lee-Enfields, I was given the map.
Don't feel bad, the very first high-powered rifle that I had to fire was the M-1 Garand!

A friend of ours is fanatical about closing the loo lid before flushing as she claims that otherwise there are zillions of widdle and/or poo particles ejected into the atmosphere.

There used to be a termite treatment product (named chlordane) that, after injecting into the ground at the foundation was good for thirty-plus years. It was banned in 1988 as harmful to health; whatever has replaced it for termite control barely lasts about five years.

I don't recall which one it was but a friend who models in OO told me that an Iain Rice plan that he liked the look of couldn't actually be built because the necessary pointwork wouldn't fit in the space available.
Dave
Build it in place from scratch.

The two above posts reminded me of an event that a friend and I would attend (with our respective buses) called "Bus Bash". It was held in various parts of the the NE U. S. once or twice a year. There was no real organization, just an announcement of a day and location. No one knew who or what buses would show up until they got there. It was always an interesting event.
I remember one that I (TDH5301-0157 ex Cleveland "Fishbowl"#679 seen on here somewhere above) and George (TDH-5105 ex-Baltimore #1912 now owned by WMATA and used in a couple of US Presidential Inauguration parades!!) drove our buses up to (in northeastern Pennsylvania somewhere) and as we were driving along the state highway, I happened to look to the left and there were the other buses! This was long before Google streetview or the internet; paper maps only! We found a safe place to loop our buses and returned to the site. I later heard about the facial expressions on some folks faces as we went roaring by! Fun times were had by all.
As the old crooner said: "Thanks for the memories.".

It looks like a US short line layout has had Welsh placenames added. As HH mentioned it was one of Iain Rice’s plans influenced by US models. I think any of my smaller US diesel models would handle the curves and inclines. No buffers and Kadee couplers make such things possible.
I guess that my SP SD40T-2 would not work there?

Polecats (skunks) can make decent pets and will have the scent glands removed along with neutering.

Rumour has it that JR West will be creating a unique British Railway themed Shinkansen (a bit like the "Hello Kitty" Shinkansen): The Shakespeare Monarch
To recreate the modern British Railway ambience The Shakespeare Monarch will feature:
- Seats that don't align with the windows.
- Legal minimum thickness seat padding.
- Out of order on-board toilets.
- Artfully placed piles of empty sandwich boxes, crisp packets and empty beer tins.
- Strict adherence to a WTWBL running schedule (Whatever The Time Table It Will Be Late)
- Overpriced tickets.
- Random last minute cancellations with "lucky draw" bus replacement service (i.e. you might get lucky and get a replacement bus service seat).
Unfortunately, given the Japanese culture and service ethos, The Shakespeare Monarch will not be able to feature strike action, work-to-rule or surly and rude employees.
p.s. although computer generated, I think a Union Flag painted Shinkansen actually looks pretty good!
My gosh, that "thing" is sooo uuugly!! (The train, not the Union Jack)
Hey, at least it has a stiff upper lip!
