  1. Too bad he could not get it over here to the state to have it on the show circuit. It would be a big hit. It has been a very big inspiration for my own sectional layout with east coast urban setting. Is there a track plan of his layout? I have searched to no avail.
  2. That is some nice work! I have the same kit and this makes me want to start working on it. What did you use for stain? Mark Now in California. Soon to be in Nebraska
  3. That is coming along nicely! I cant wait to see how you like the spline roadbed. I am planning my new layout and want to try my had at that too. Thanks for posting Mark
  4. Thanks for the info! I have already ordered some. Keep the pictures coming! Mark
  5. That is quite nice! I am going to try and model the TP56 as I have a SD40 Spare truck. Thanks for the video!
  6. I just reread your post and caught the cellphone speaker in the wood box trick. I own a model train store and have been factory trained to install DCC AND SOUND. I am really impressed with the sound of the wood over the plastic box! I used to build custom stereo boxes for cars and can not believe I missed that! You are correct. Wood does offer better sound. Where do you get the cell phone speakers? The clarity is great! Great job on the sound!!!!!!!!! Also, what did you use for your tall grass? I cannot seam to get static grass to look that good. Thanks Again Mark in California. soon to be in Nebraska
  7. That is some very nice modeling. You have balanced the scenery and the trackage very well! Mark California USA
  8. WOW! I just found this post! I am moving back to Grand Island this summer and the person in the boom truck is my best friend Sean. The idiot stopped on the tracks trying to beat the train and the 1992 Ford truck he was driving stalled as it was a clutch and he supposedly had been drinking. Mark Currently in California Soon to be in Nebraska Spent alot of my youth in Luton Beds England
  9. You have a great start to what I know will be an awesome layout. Is the drug store a lit or a scratchbuild? Mark from California
  10. Now that looks very nice. Do you remember who made the kit? I want to scratchbuild one for my up coming On30 display layout. So I could build it for my HO scale and copy the dimensions. Again, Very nice!
  11. Those look Great! They look very much like the ones I just visited in Colorado.
  12. It looks great! You have achieved a lovely balance of track to scenery. All this in only 4 foot! I am very impressed
  13. Try trackside scenery or backdrop wherehouse. One should have what you are looking for.
  14. Deerfield makes some nice kits! Fun to assemble. Have you tried Micro-scale decals or Cloverhouse dry transfers?
  15. Cant wait to see this! Your eyes must be in very good shape. I had to go back to HO scale because my eyes and fingers no longer liked me. Search Trolleyville times if you are not familiar. George puts out a great newsletter devoted to trolley modelling
