  1. Thank you! I try my best. Keep in mind it's unlikely I'd ever build any of this. And those are some strange ideas... Hmm...
  2. Knuckles liked something I said. Also yes, going as a black rat to a medieval event is actually pretty clever in my opinion.
  3. I know this isn't relevant to the workbench but I'm putting this here so that as many people can see this as possible and give their thoughts. The suggestions of my fellow Pre-Groupers (even though I'm only a member of that club effectively de facto, as the KLR is only pre-grouping for a very early part of its existence and it continues to exist long after both Groupings and into the present day) are very important to me. This depicts the basic layout of the actual KLR model, now I have an idea of what I'm doing with it. Building it like this in order to get the entire KLR into the shed.
  4. Sadly I'm pretty sure none of them were.
  5. Those are some BEAUTIFUL looking tenders. You must be so proud.
  6. Just been reading this thread. Wow. KNP has kind of done exactly what I want to do and just... captured that perfect rural atmosphere, albeit with the West Country rather than East Anglia. So much inspiration. Appears to pretty much be the West Country equivalent of Castle Aching, but older and thus more complete. Don't worry, fellow members of the Castle Aching Parish Council, I am not defecting. I'm only taking inspiration from the visuals.
  7. The trucks sent to me by sem are now painted. Getting a good little collection of open wagons now. Still only got one van that isn't a livestock one though, which will be a problem.
  8. Narrow Gauge by Gary? This should be good Definitely looks that way so far. I thought the dark side was freelancing?
  9. Putting this here as I don't know where else to put it. A follow-up to this conversation over on Skinnylinny's Great Southern Railway thread a couple days ago as to avoid clogging up Linny's thread. Seeing what happened last time I did it I felt I'd move it over to somewhere where going off-track is less of an inconvenience. I mean almost nobody reads this thread anyway as far as I know. Of my main threads this is easily the least popular. ... "Thomas was a tank engine, who lived at a Big Station. He had six small wheels, a short stumpy funnel, a short stumpy boiler and a short stumpy dome." (Sorry the picture is so small. I couldn't find any bigger pictures to work from.)
  10. I've always loved the story Crosspatch. Beautiful recreation of Peter and Gunvor Edwards' fantastic watercolour illustration.
  11. I've never lived in a house that hasn't had mains water and modern toilets. Then again I was born in the early 90s. My primary school at Rockland however still had outdoor toilets until I was about Year 3. And my current house doesn't have mains sewage simply because of how isolated it is.
  12. I'd love modern OO versions of some of the old O freelance ones. Some of them look great.
  13. I'd love to meet up with a bunch of you guys but social anxiety and my location don't help.
  14. One from my neck of the woods: How do we know Jesus didn't come from Norwich? Because in Norwich there ain't three wise men and a virgin!
  15. Taxis and a bicycle. Plus I'm a keen walker anyway and I have the advantage, if you can call it that, of still living with my mother who can.
  16. I've never been a motorcyclist. I've lost too many friends to it to ever trust riding one myself. Heck, I don't even drive.
