  1. The Arriva Trains Wales & First Great Western ones are first, later this year. Then we are looking at other liveries, probably Wessex Trains 'Visit Bristol' Livery!
  2. He always has his small stand at the Perth Green (Jarrow) in March and North Shields Railex Show in August.
  3. I think if I was Mr Sutton (Rex) I would put my pride to one side and get something else out, either a brilliant 37 or better still a batch of differing 47s. More profit in that!!!!
  4. Its a catch 22, everyone wants more detail to scale, that means more bits to fall off. The body removal is fiddly and 'stuff' can be broken while doing this. We intend to put a help section on the website 'WHEN' I get time, sadly no time for the next few months, too busy. We have a few minor mods on the 143 to improve the model, nothing drastic though. Glad in the end you still like it. Charlie
  5. The Blinds are tampo printed on the Inside of the Glazing, sorry. Charlie
  6. Is it possible that any comments re the First Great Westerns Class 143s could be put into the FGW 143 section please. TA Charlie
  7. The livery design work has started this week, comments and suggestions welcomed.
  8. REALTRACK HERE Please check as it sound like you may have 1 or 2 wobbly wheels. New ones can be supplied if you return us the Wobbly ones. Charlie. Double sided carpet tape does the trick! The container floors come off to add additional weight to your vehicles. Happy new year.
  9. The new Legomanbiffo sounds are available for the 144, these recordings have been correctly matched to our model, and not done to suit a Hornby 142. We are doing a 'Show you how' section, this will be added to the Website in the new year. The most Common Question is: How do I get into the unit: The body is attached to the floor unit by six clips, two lollipop sticks are required to get the body off easily, the clips are located in the following positions: Two LH & RH Under Drivers Window, Two dead centre under windows, Two approx. 80mm from rear end. The lollipop sticks should be inserted in the rear fixing locations first, these come off easily, the sticks should then be gently inserted into the front under the drivers windows, the light cluster pathway gets in the way here, so gently ease the chassis away from the bodyshell, some times if you put pressure accidently on the lighting pathway becomes, it become loose, this is not an issue as it just slots back in. When refixing the bodyshell back on, ease it over these lighting pathways as forcing it in just bends the pathways and dos'nt allow the body to sit correctly on the chassis. If you twist the bodyshell to much one way or the other while removing it you can dislodge the internal partitions, as these are a tight fit against the bodyshell moulding, no problems here either as a spot of 'Low Odour' superglue will fix these back in seconds. WHY LOW ODOUR you ask? This type of superglue dos'nt fog up the glazing with a white fogging as normal superglue tend to do! Watch the Website for these additions. Any questions re the above please contact customerservices@realtrackmodels.co.uk or ring 01132 563415 Mon-Thurs 8am - 1pm
  10. They also ran to Cardiff, so don,t want to leave the Bristol lads out!
  11. Decoder Issues on Realltrack Class 144s Hi there, REALTRACK here!! I sat down some time ago with decoders: Hornby & Bachmann, Gaugemaster, DCC Concepts. Mixed Results! TCS, ESU, Zimo. Far better. Lenz Standard. 100% Result. Everytime perfect. And at only £20.00 ish including postage from ourselves via our website then no point in my mind using anything else. The motors in the 144 are a special smaller type to be 'Not Seen' , using the larger Bachmann style would be fine but we had to hide it, we accept the design is not ideal with the circuit board being in a different car to the motor, but we have little room and could not use a 6Pin or 21Pin. The 8Pin plug & socket has caused issues between the cars, this plug/socket is intentionally sloppy as a 4 wheeled long wheel based unit has enough problems to overcome without adding a tight/fixed 8Pin plug between the cars. The lights issue is odd, normally the problem is that customers connect them incorrectly, IE the bottom 4 male pins put into the top 4 female holes, THEN the lights and other things go haywire!!!!! ANY issues please contact us directly customerservices@realtrackmodels.co.uk or ring 01132 563415 Mon-Thurs 9am-1pm & 6pm-8pm. Ask for Charlie A Help section will be on the website in the new year. HAVE A GOOD 31st EVENING!
  12. Did you get the unit in the post, if so very sorry about the damage. Most seem to have arrived ok. but we have sent out over 470 via Royal Mail. Sadly a few are going to get thrown about. If you want it sorting out, please ring 01132 563415. Charlie
  13. Suggest you give me a ring. 01132 563415. Charlie
  14. Lenz Standard. Cheap and work well, overload protection & Lifelong Warranty. On our Website too! Honestly, don't even bother with Hornby/Bachmann. Charlie
  15. Check with Lord & Butler as he does weathering! many others do too, This model is a very limited edition of 250 each with a possible batch 12 months later with different running numbers but the same livery, depends on sales of Arriva TW.
  16. The internal lights are wired via the wheels/track as there is not enough wires on the internal 8Pin plug (9 Required) to operate them via the decoder. Rewiring them and fitting a separate decoder is the way to go here.
  17. Information on liveries have been finalised, these are: 143-211 Class 143 Arriva Trains Wales 'Aquamarine-Cream Livery' 143609 (55650-55675) Route blinds are: Penarth - Bargoed. 143-212 Class 143 Arriva Trains Wales 'Aquamarine-Cream Livery' 143610 (55643-55676) Route blinds are: Aberdare - Bridgend Correct Seating layout which is different too the 144's, modified chassis & buffer beam units, as 143s are not the same as 144s. 8Pin DCC Ready as standard, DCC Fitted units & DCC Sound Fitted units with passengers also planned.
