  5. The 143s we have are livery Mock-Ups of Provincial & Regional Railways liveries. These have been done to assess customer demand as we are uncertain which way to go with regards too the older liveries, thoughts were a limited batch of Tyne & Wear Yellow/White & Provincial liveries with bus seating (3 X 2). The liveries for the 143s currently planned (but will be 6 months late! sorry but partially our fault for wanting an additional 120 rivits putting on) will be Arriva Trains Wales & First Greal Western, after that is up to YOU, so let us know your thoughts.
  6. Class 143 Samples on the company test track (On the carpet!)
  7. Internal multipin connectors arrived and under test as of yesterday, heading this way soon. Charlie
  8. Yes we can arrange collections at shows (Next few weeks are: Glasgow, Preston, Worcester, Jarrow, Ali Pali, Epsom & Derby)
  9. Unlike the real ones we are running late! due to a cock up by us and mods to the PCB board by Mr Wing,Wang & Ho! We have been delayed also by late delivery of the internal multipin connectors, we are looking at June at the earliest. Nice to have them at DEMU Burton, BUT! Dont know exactly yet. Charlie. PPS Been discussing our new projects over the Christmas period with various site visits and a board meeting between me and Arran. He fell asleep!
  10. Woodhead closed because it could be closed! The only PTE support it had was Penistone & Hadfield/Glossop, so the closure did not effect the cash imput from the PTE's, Hope Valley had PTE support for Dore & Totley, All Derbyshire Stations and GMPTE support for all Manchester area stations, so if it closed cash would be lost. The PTE support helped make the freight trains cheaper too!

    Dapol Class 22

The Lenz Silver 21 is £25.54 inc postage from DC Kits Leeds, or cheaper at Wigan this weekend! & St Albans January.
  12. 143016 & 143006. There were I was told three in total on trial for Scotrail. Seems as they prefered Class 101 & Class 150s on that route.
  13. Quote from an article: As long ago as 1983, British Rail published a feasibility study on re-introduction of passenger services to Livingston and Bathgate, based on freight contributing 70 per cent of the maintenance costs. The Government agreed, a funding package of £1.3m was put together and, on March 24, 1986, the line from Newbridge Junction to Bathgate was re-opened, along with new stations at Livingston North and Uphall. Because it was never conceived then that services all the way back to Airdrie would ever occur, the new Bathgate station was built not on the site of the former Upper station but on part of the old car terminal site, creating a small transport interchange with local buses. An hourly DMU service operated to Edinburgh using Class 101 DMUs, occasionally Class 143s and later Class 150/2s. The service proved very popular.
  14. The Northern Class 144 (Fully Decorated 2 car set) will be on display this weekend, as will order forms! Also we have the unpainted Class 143 Samples. At the Wigan Show. See you there!!!
  15. They pass REALTRACK HQ every day, seven lovely 155 units, in Metro Red & Cream too!
  16. TODAYS NEWS: Panda's arrive at Edinburgh Zoo and Arran is out all day.
  17. Could be worth looking into, no promises though! Charlie. PPS, The 143 is our next priorty.
  18. Already discussed this with them! Very wishfull thinking!!
  19. Me thinks Bachmann will begin a fight here, with only one winner. Re LMS 10000 & Blue Pullman. Charlie
  20. We are open to suggestions, but we really need to sell the initial 2500 models in 2 X Versions of Northern & 2 x Versions of the later Metro Red & Silver waves livery. These liveries we are doing take us back over 4 versions/liveries. Any other liveies mean doing the earlier Bus Seats, these we are doing and our plans are for the second Metro/RR Red & Cream & Regional Railways liveries next, these specifically are: 2nd Metro Red & Cream with Arriva Branding (1 Numbered version) 2nd Metro Red & Cream with Regional Railways Branding (2 Numbered versions) Regional Railways livery (2 Numbered versions) The Class 143 Units have a different seating layout to the 144 Units, this we are doing; These are: RT143-211 Arriva Trains Wales 143609 'Sir Tom Jones' RT143-212 Arriva Trains Wales 143610 RT143-213 First Great Western 'Local Lines' livery 143611 RT143-214 First Great Western 'Local Lines' livery 143620 Later we plan Wessex Trains 'Visit Bristol Livery', Valley Lines & Regional Railways. We have been asked for the original Provincial & Tyne & Wear Metro liveries but are uncertain if there is a demand for these, we need 300 orders to make them a goer! So please shout if interested. A suggestion came for a Scottish Pair based on the Bathgate twins, destination blinds being Bathgate-Edinburgh, INTERESTED!!! Please bear in mind we have to shift the original Northern & Metro batches first!!
  21. A new batch of FLA's just arrived with Hanjin & Hamburd Sud reefers on. Charlie
  22. Re the Hornby prices, due to no fault of their own the Sandakan factory was taken over by Kader Industries(Bachmann) and as if by a quirk of fate Hornby cost prices went up by 20% approx and Bachmanns did not! Strange that!!! I smell a rat here, and its not a Hornby Rat!
  23. A modern box! This is a classic 2nd generation unit, advanced engineering from the people who brought you the milk float, simply put, 'Cheap!'
