  1. I thought publishing my videos would be showing my transparency and I apologize if I caused any confusion with regards to this. Thank you for giving me the go ahead and I look forward to engaging with your members.
  2. Dear Moderator I am a railway modeller who has been modelling for 50 years and a member of the Cardiff 4mm club. I do not make a living from 3D printing and offer a small service to friends and other modellers who wish to have small parts printed. I started doing these meetings on Western Thunder and thought I would branch out to other forums to get a wider audience. I do not advertise my service in the meetings and have no intention of doing so. Because the pandemic has confined so many of use to our homes I thought it would be a good idea to bring like minded modellers together to discuss various issues pertaining to model railways. If this does not meet with your requirements I will continue conduct my Zoom talks on Western Thunder where I believe some of your members are already members. Please click on the links I have posted to get a flavour of what my zoom talks are like. https://youtu.be/nZS97ZCuLUw https://youtu.be/-0dyzrbQ17w
  3. Bill it is just an example of what the link will look like, it's not active. When I post on Friday the link will be active and take you to the meeting. Might post a test link on Thursday for poeple to try out if they aren't familiar with zoom or click here to watch a tutorial.
  4. Never used Facebook live so couldn't tell you. Ok here are two links to two previous meeting, judge for yourself. https://youtu.be/nZS97ZCuLUw https://youtu.be/-0dyzrbQ17w
  5. I think you are asking a lot of the printer to print the hand rails and if you could they probably would not be straight. Print the stairs so that they have holes for wire to go into that will make up the handrails. I can print down to 0.01mm on my printer but wouldn't attempt printing what you are trying to print. Think how fragile those handrails would be if they were 3D printed.
  6. Meetings usually take place at 11am on a Saturday in the UK and a link to the meeting will be posted in this forum as well as the Western Thunder forum. Each week I like to have a different topic and so far for the past three meetings, personal projects, painting and lining and weathering have been discussed. The next discussion will take place on the 10th of October and the topic will be 3d printing. You do not need to download Zoom to join the meeting but obviously if you want to be seen you will need a device with either a built in webcam or one attached. If you need a webcam purchase one online they aren’t very expensive. Attached is an example of one of the past links I have posted. Just click on the underlined link and it will take you to the meeting where you will be held until I invite you in.
  7. These meetings normally take place at 11am on a Saturday in the UK to discuss various topics pertaining to model railways. The next talk will be on 3D printing, so please join us if this is of interest to you and you have anything that you can bring to the computer. Links to the talks are usually posted on a Friday. Just click on the link and you will be invited in by the host.
  8. Link to recorded discussion. https://youtu.be/-0dyzrbQ17w
  9. I produce 3D printed locos and parts for CamKits and could do a one off for you. I would have to produce the artwork but judging by the design wouldn’t take long. Could print it with my next batch of prints.

  12. I have started doing Zoom meetings on Western Thunder and decided branch out to other forums to see if I could attract more participants. They are normally held at 11am on a Saturday but could be changed at short notice to a Sunday. 11am seems to be the best time as it means our overseas modellers can also participate. You do not need to download Zoom to ,participate just click on the link that I generally post on a Friday along with the topic. You do not need a webcam to join in the discussion but obviously if you want to be seen you will need one.
  13. I have just started my you tube channel on modelling trees and would like to share my experiences with fellow railway modellers. My first video, A New Approach To Modelling Trees - Part1, will conclude in Part 2. I plan to follow up these by concentrating on certain tree species in my youtube channel.

Always like seeing Sandy's superb modelling skills. Will be nice to see his stock running on another layout. As well as that two of the best modellers in the business will be there demonstrating, Geoff Kent and Geoff Taylor who will be selling his new book, 'More Model Buildings', on building model buildings in 4mm and 7mm. Local main line steam engine driver Fred Lewis will also be there demonstrating his 7mm modelling skills.
