  1. Has anyone used the Gertbot to run their model railway? If so, can you tell me how you get it working? I have the Gertbot fitted to the Raspberry Pi and have followed the very basic instructions from the Gertbot web site, but then what? I don't know what wires to connect or what power supply to use. Any help would be appreciated! Cheers Pete
  2. Hi I just wanted to clarify something regarding the positions of levers in signal boxes. I've read that for points, the default position of the lever (ie: when not pulled forward) indicates that the point is in the normal position. With regard to signals, does the lever position when not pulled indicate the signal is at danger/caution? Cheers Pete
  3. Thanks Mick, it was the older style Cobalt in the diagram that I found confusing. Pete
  4. Just working through the various PDFs and I've come up with the following: PSU Connection B -> Cobalt-iP Connection 1 (DC In) (Black) PSU Connection A -> Cobalt-S Connection 9 (Red) PSU Connection C -> Cobalt-S Connection 8 (Green) Cobalt-S Connection 7 -> Cobalt-iP Connection 9 (S3R) (Black) Cobalt-S Connection 4 (S2L) -> Left Rail (Red) Cobalt-S Connection 5 (S2R) -> Right Rail (Black) Cobalt-S Connection 6 (S2C) -> Frog V (Green) The problem with the documenation is that in the Cobalt-S manual, they refer to the Cobalt-iP Digital, which is different to the analog version. I will try the above and report back.
  5. Hi I'm not getting anywhere figuring out how to wire up a Cobalt-iP Analogue point motor to a Cobalt-S switch. The power source for the motor is the PSU-2+. I understand the benefits of one switch to rule them all, to use an LOTR analogy, but it makes matters more complex and the documentation is about as clear as mud. I'm not too keen on the 9-wire harness that comes with the switch either. Having said that, the lever itself is a thing of beauty! Anyone figured this out who can explain it simply? Cheers Pete
  6. Hi I have a couple of pics of Class 203 DEMUs (specifically 1033 and 1034, both showing 54 at the front) passing through Diss in Norfolk sometime during the 1970s. Does anyone have any info on these two and their relation to Norfolk, if any? Cheers Pete
  7. This looks excellent. I am going to try using my recently purchased Raspberry Pi to control my new layout. Cheers Pete
