  1. This video shows the Night Riviera in February 1992, composed of Mk2 BFK (non-AC?)-2 Mk2 TSO (presumably AC)-3 Mk3 Sleepers. I guess 1-2 more Mk3 Sleepers and a BG had been detached at Plymouth.
  2. Won't there be a number of 90s available within a year or two, then Anglia get their Flirt sets for the GE?
  3. Were there 47s that could be ran in multiple w/each other? Or did they always have to have two drivers (one in each loco)?
  4. No TGS? Do they use the former guard's compartment in one of the powercars?
  5. Yes it seems the Manchester to Glasgow/Edinburgh services were all Class 47 hauled still at this time. I guess these and the Birmingham to Edinburgh/Glasgow services would have roughly the same formations? Although I see that in the WTT printout I've been able to aquire, the Sussex Scot's timing load is E315, ith e.g. the 1M27 Glasgow - Birmingham service's timing load being E245, with a change to diesel at Preston, suggesting a shorter rake?
  6. Thanks. I take it the Birmingham to Glasgow/Edinburgh trains of this era used the same formation, as did the Manchester Airport - Glasgow/Edinburgh diesel-hauled services when they were not ran by 158s?
  7. Thanks! I'll switch to BG-RFO-6 TSOs for the player train as this seems to have been the standard up to at least around 1992 based on some quick searches on Flickr.
  8. Greetings. I am in the habit of creating scenaros for the Train Simulator 2018 (formerly Railworks) game, which some of you may be familiar with. I am currently working on the final version of a scenario featuring the "Sussex Scot" cross-country train from Glasgow Central in late 1991. I have most of what I need with regards to formations of most of the trains involved, but there are two areas where I am still not 100 % certain of the correct formations. 1 - the player train, plus one of the encountered passing trains, are standard Cross Country loco-hauled services. The original source I used for the timings etc - http://www.1s76.com/1S76 1991.htm - gives the formation at this point as BSO, 5 TSO, RLF - all Mk2f aircon stock, which is also the formation I've used in my game. However the same site documents that in the immediately preceding timetable period, the formation was 6 TSO, RLF, BG (e.g. - http://andygibbs.zenfolio.com/p853553453/h8C5B1C8#h8c5b1c8). This photo from April 1992 also clearly shows a BG ahead of the 1st class car, it's not possible to make out whether there's a BSO on the rear. I've seen several suggestions that the change from BG to BSO in these trains didn't in fact take place until around the 92-93 or 93-94 timetable period? 2 - while none of the Anglo-Scottish night trains are featured as player or AI trains, the stock from at least one night train would be passed in the Polmadie sidings. I understand that this was towards the very end of the time where the Anglo-Scottish night trains still ran as separate trains to each destination, the current "Caledonian Sleeper" combined services not appearing until around 1993ish. I have however not been able to find an exact formation of the Glasgow night train(s) in late 1991, and whether they would stable the whole rake in one siding or split it up? Does anyone have any info?
