Rails seem to be heavily discounting the first batch that arrived. Could be some wait for 3 car BR Green set.

    A very long wait.

The only carriages expected are in SR malachite green.

    (Bachmannweb shows delivery May/June)

Given that the railway between Bletchley and Bedford St John is currently effectively closed due to a shortage of suitable rolling stock, is there any sign that this period of disuse will be used to start the upgrade to become an eventual link in the Oxford to Cambridge Railway?

    That would be so sensible.

    No chance!

If the person that had had the 3 declined purchases (approved by phone call) wasn't me, then surely the person using the same landline that confirmed it was me could also have been the imposter.

How would an imposter be using your landline?`

In the 1980s I used to travel regularly from London to Exeter visiting family, and I took my bicycle with me for transport to/from the stations at each end. HST bicycle accommodation was very limited, so I travelled from Waterloo. The usual sets were 6-8 coaches, of which the middle two were usually van to van BSOs [the only vans on the train], apparently to ensure the vans were always on the platform at stations.

Never saw a BSO on any Waterloo-Exeter train but plenty of BFKs.
