  1. I have been reading Ivo Peters Somerset & Dorset in the 60's vol 3 There are pictures of Standard 3 tanks on Highbridge to Templecombe services on 'The Main Line' but I have not seen pictures of them on the branch. Did they ever work on the branch or were loco's changed at Highbridge?
  2. 31's were used when the Cardiff-Portsmouth services reverted to loco haulage, they were also used on loco hauled services on the Weymouth line. The last loco hauled services on the Weymouth line were 37's they were also used on the Portsmouth services when the 158's had to be taken out of service with door problems shortly after introduction
  3. Its been a while since I went that way but for a long time someone was cultivating = officially or otherwise land between the boundary wall & the top of the cutting between Redland & Clifton Down Stations

  5. Thank you, thats handy. Interestingly as far as I can make out from the photo's but possibly unsurprisingly Midford didnt seem to handle any coal

  7. Fullers Earth was loaded onto the S&D at both Midford & Wellow from mines in the surrounding area. I gather at Midford it could be up to 200 tons pw Does anyone know 1. What wagons it was carried in and how (bulk, bagged etc) 2. When did the traffic cease
  8. I am looking at using 3mm cork underlay under Peco Streamline Code 100 Flexible Track Can/how do you curve it - I am looking at 3-4 foot radius curves. I note that there is a 'flexible' cork underlay produced by Proses Also any recommendations as to suppliers/width - its a single track line and/or thickness
