  1. Very interesting thread to a novice such as myself who, up till now, thought that a conventional runaround loop was an essential element of every steam era BLT On a small layout, I'm wondering if some sort of set-up with moveable or electro magnets under the track could be used to control gravity shunting?
  2. What a truly superb little layout! Big on interest, both operationally and scenically. Makes me wish my eyes could cope with N gauge.
  3. Hi Karl I'm new here too and was also inspired by the GMRC to start a layout. It'll also be GWR themed, although totally freelance when it comes to track layout, buildings etc. There's a lot of very useful and interesting info here - enjoy!
  4. I'm not familiar with the plan you're trying to recreate, so my only suggestion is that you try asking Peco themselves. Contact details are on their website.
  5. Use the search box at top right of this page, but toggle it to search in "Forum Index". Or, just click this: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/113109-guide-dog-bridge/?hl=%2Bguide+%2Bdog+%2Bbridge
  6. I'd like to tackle a Boxfile layout myself sometime, so it'll be good to see how you get along. The scrapyard theme should give plenty of scope for some interesting scenic treatment.
  7. My layout, just started, uses 2 LH and 2 RH points, so I've named it TWOYCH as a contortion of "two each".
  8. An extremely clever little layout. Very inspiring!
  9. Thanks v much. I've posted some details and pics in the new members section.
  10. New member, just joined. Watched the whole series and thoroughly enjoyed every episode. And after years of thinking about it, I've finally found the inspiration to start a small layout of my own. So it's definitely brought at least 1 new person into the hobby!
