Hi all I have just received a length of Peco SM32 track for my plank layout. Can I glue the track to the baseboard or is it best to fix the track down with screws. If I should use screws what size drill bit will I need and what screws should I use.
-
Nice modelling HonestTom. I like the Metcalf crane you have built, all fits together nicely.
-
Luke your layout is looking really nice. There’s nothing like a Pug loco on ones layout, I hope you manage to sort out the running problems.
-
Your layout looks great and the lighting is spot on. Thanks for sharing:)

Hi thanks to all for the advice on which ballast to use.
-
Marc thanks for your reply most helpful.

Can I use oo gauge ballast for o gauge modelling or is the something else I can use on the market.

To all the members of the forum. I have made a huge mistake by making up numerous accounts with different names and it’s
disrespectful to all. I have now learned by my stupid mistakes. I will understand if administrators delete me from the forum. All I can say is how sorry I am.

Some more work completed on my boxfile. I went with the brick work on the back wall which will be a warehouse loading bay. I will be modelling a platform using wood coffee stirrers for loading goods from and to the warehouse.
As you can see I have placed a fire exit door on the other factory wall and some pipe work. Sandpaper has been laid for the road area into the scrap yard. Still loads to do but having fun.

Peter I must say your diorama looks great. The modelling and scenery work looks really nice, it’s a shame the diorama is not operational.

TechnicArrow this sounds like a great idea. But what can I use as a mirror to achieve this.
I was thinking of constructing my own wooden goods platform, made from coffee stirrers and adding a half relief goods office. But if I do this I’m stuck on a background to use.

This will be a shame. As your modelling and photographic skills are brilliant. I have heard this issue with Flikr a few times now, anything to make some money.

Evening some more work completed today. Track and brick card has been glued in place today and hopefully later tonight I will be glueing the sandpaper down. This is to replicate the road and parking on the layout.
The brick wall along the back will have a fire exit door and some pipework for water and electrics to the factory/warehouse.

kevo what a lovely little layout. Both the grounded tool van and the pallets look great. Really nice modelling.
-
Very nice weathering and use of different shades.

Luke this is a great looking micro layout. The work on the static grass is really nice and I’m looking forward to seeing your new 009 gauge loco on the layout.
-
Looking forward to see this develop. This is a rather useful article on scrap yards - aimed at N gauge modellers, but with a lot of helpful information.
Thanks HonestTom for the link and the comments.

Hello Luke thank you for your reply. You are right about the grounded box car Luke. I will be using this as an office for the scrap yard area of the boxfile. This is looking really good. Is that the grounded box car kit that came with this month's railway modeller?
The scrap bits will be coming from secondhand Airfix models and an old Lesney matchbox car I have.

Hi Si36 this looks like the beginnings of an interesting layout.
