Luke I like the picture of the magazine entrance. The theme you have chose to model is of interest as my grandad was a gaurd at one of these sites. I like the start of your entrance, will be watching with interest.

Lovely modelling Jerry. I think it’s great that you are laying the tiles individually. It will be a much better result.

Jerry thanks for your comments and interest into my diorama build.
Today I have started on the embankment structure and raising the mainline track a little.
Will post up a picture later today.

Are you going to have a fiddle yard at both ends?
Not really thought about it Rod but easily done.

This will be a 200mm x 200mm diorama. The theme is about folk sitting on a bank side having a picnic and watching trains go by.
I have pinched a few ideas from GeoffinOz which he kindly agreed to as he is building a cakebox with a similar scene.
embankment.
fence.
brick wall.
two lengths of track. 1 working line and 1 disused line. ( oo gauge ).
scenery.
diesel loco.
scenery/gravel.
and of course figures.

Hi managed to weather the stone wall at the back of the layout and grass scatter applied.
The partially dried up steam is taking shape with the small stones taken from the garden. The sides of the banks will be grassed and planted with a few reeds.
Here is a photo of my progress.

Like the look of the retaining wall and the grass work. The points Roding is. A great touch having been left there.
