Marly51 I look forward to see how the E-Z water turns out, I think it’s great fun trying something new and pushes you past your comfort zone.

It’s always great to see an old playworn die cast model being brought back to its original look. Nice find at the steam rally.

Hi Marly51 I will be watching with great interest. Your mock-up is great, it’s amazes me how cardboard can be of great help.

Nice work Jerry. It’s always nice to get the board painted, track laid and weathered.

Bill I like your approach of a budget type layout. I like working with cardboard myself so many things can be achieved by not spending a lot of money.
Nice looking baseboard, look forward to seeing more.

Hi Marly51 many thanks for the kind words. I know I have been modelling this diorama for a while now but I like to make certain the last bit of detail is added. Apart from waiting for my loco for this diorama I can safely say it’s more or less finished.

Hi Longmire thanks for the nice comments and thanks to everyone for all the likes.

Afternoon fellow modellers. Today I have been busy completing the overgrown buffer stop area.
The embankment has now sprouted a silver birch tree and some lovely yellow flowering ground cover.
I pleased with this little diorama, a few more tiny bits of detail to add along with a wagon and 04 diesel loco.

Hi today I have been concentrating on the area around the oil drums and the middle of the track where oil and muck Would have accumulated.
Im on nights tonight so tomorrow my trees and flower foliage should arrive and more modelling will commence.

Hi TechnicArrow I love this little layout and especially the working crane. The 04 loco looks at home on the layout and I’m looking forward to seeing more of your work.

James thank you for your kind words, I’m not sure about exhibition standard but I do like my model railway dioramas.

Hi TechnicArrow thanks for the nice comments, it’s always nice when another pair of eyes can see a few things that I have not thought of and this can be added.
I will be adding the bits you have mentioned.

Thanks John for the reply.

Can I use children’s play sand as part of a beach scene on my cakebox challenge, or is the something else I can use.

Hi everyone I’m really enjoying modelling this diorama. Today I have been busy painting a couple of oil drums and positioning them on the diorama. The tufts of grass bring the whole thing to life.
The bank side will have a few members of the public having a picnic. The loco I will be using I’m still waiting for from Hornby, it’s the yellow network rail loco.

Richard that engine shed and scenic work of Jacks is fantastic. It’s so kind to be given a lovely pebble dashed cottage.
