  1. Great stuff. A while ago a friend couldn’t understand my fascination with the 47 he said they are all the same !!! Once I had pointed out and shown him some of the differences he saw them in a very different light . It’s easy to look at a 45 and say ah yes they are/were all the same . But start looking on the web and in books and it soon becomes evedent that , that’s simply not the case . Yep they were rail blue after being green but there’s a lot more to it than that and as we say the devil is in the detail & it’s the detail that counts . Without looking at weathering options . Have a google and I think many will be surprised with what differences are found if you look for them , any generalisation of a 45 being rail blue end off , is to me pretty unjustified. Andy H
  2. Oh as a BTW could we have the TO rabbit and TI snails too please . Andy H
  3. This type (flush fronted with and without headlight ) of peak featured highly in my youth , I always got very excited when one tipped up wherever I was . And later on I took many a photo of some them dumped at March . (What a place that was ) So I for one have been waiting for a good model to come out of the Bachmann stable . And certainly mark me down for a bundle of them they are top of my wish list . Maybe acurascale will take on the venture after their Deltic if Bachmann fail to come up with the goods again this year ..what I wish is that and I find fustrating is Bachmann offer no comment on the subject of damaged tooling or their intentions. 4. I’ll second the sealed beam peak , I’d think two variations are easily catered for flush front with just the sealed marker lights then the later headlight fitted , I’m sure they would sell like hot cakes on a cold day . Maybe Hattons will take this one on next ?! Oh can we have an as built (shove)47/7 in rail blue and/or large logo ... Andy H
  5. I'm so hoping for a flush fronted peak surely its the missing link in classic BR Diesel traction list , with and without the later fitted head light ,complete with TI snails or TO rabbits .... that would tick many a wanted box , come on Bachmann pull the rabbit out of the hat the first batch will sell out just like that ..... and a 123 /124 DMU emu wise 508 and or over head 25kv 315 derivatives Andy H
  6. a story of two halves from me over joyed about the two class 60's especially the DB red one at last ,but why not do two one named one unnamed surely Hornby would know these would quite probably sell out on pre order such is their popularity and long awaited arrival . and or a GBRF one again i'd think this would sell out quickly ... NO 31/4 gutted ... another missed opportunity.. this variant must tick so many peoples boxes ... No class 50's but i think more importantly NO class 56 ! why not do a run of various 56's and both Railroad and Super detail versions of the HAA the complete package so to speak with no competition from other manufactures easy sales I would have thought that was a no brainer. come on Hornby surprise us with a standard rail blue 56 56038 Western Mail maybe .... ..... or more of the DCR ones in their fabulous liveries . I stand to be corrected but I couldn't see a single new Air braked wagon . but maybe that segment of the market now being left to other manufactures to fill. The HST's look great as usual but mega bucks for a full length set at RRP . well done re the new plug door types . for me i have no interest in anything pre TOPS so the numerous steam age offerings are totally missed on me . Andy
