IMHO Accurascale boxes and packaging is the best of all manufacturer’s. Long may they continue to be used.

I had a problem about an hour ago when I tried to open ER. Page or something could not be reached. Tried refresh. Went off and played solitaire. Came back, then did back arrow. Arrived at listing page successfully and then ER opened.
We have had snow again. I booked to have the snow tires removed on Saturday.
I also had the same issue six minutes ago.

None of the Q6 had water scoops so I suppose this was a a standard NE layout?
As built they did not. However some loco’s ran with 3940g tenders transferred from Q5’s. These did have water pick-up. I believe they were removed during the early 1930’s.- 1

As a follow up, I purchased some Lionheart buckeye couplings to add to the BSK’s inorder to run a CK, BSK, SK formation. You have to totally disassemble the coach in order to fit them however.

This is the last official working of the Malton, Gilling, Coxwold, Gilling, Kirbymoorside, Helmsley, Malton pick-up prior to closure. The first four minerals were left at Coxwold, the low-fit at Gilling and three of the vans at Helmsley. Some days later a diesel shunter was used to collect the empty wagons.

Hi Mike,
Many thanks for taking time out to respond.
I am pleased to hear work is progressing, albeit slowly. You have many projects on the go.
I look forward to seeing future reports, as and when.
Best regards
Alan

Very nice paint job Brian. This may possibly be Heljan’s best model to date in my humble opinion.
Fingers crossed.

Looks like Heljan are going down the same route as they did with the class 26 and 27
NO NOSE DOORS which if I'm correct they should have on the green version.

My thoughts are I hope not. Hopefully it is to early to tell given based on the two examples shown - early days.

Nice to see the diagonal strip on the BR 16T model corrected from the earlier artwork.
Looking forward to these plus the 24T BR hoppers. Tower are doing a limited run of three individually numbered 24T BR hoppers too. Pre-ordering recommended.

Great news, I guess it was an obvious one to come bearing in mind they have done the 25s already. I guess in fullness of time a 25/0 will follow
With a bit of luck it should be possible to convert a 24/1 to a 25/0. Removing the water tank and a few roof modifications. Here’s hoping !.

I rather liked the War Department example.
Agree Abe.
The “British Railway” livery looks awful to me. Positioning and size of font may be an issue.
l will purchase one however as I want the extended bunker version.

It definitely takes 100 ohm as the one I exchanged was.
Apologies for the mis - information. -
Is it a 3.5 or 3.5 XL ?.
If memory serves me being correct the speaker should be 32 ohm.
I will check.

My understanding based on an e-mail from Tower Models is the 3MT is into the new year with the J94’s after them.

Any idea what sort of consist a train would have been made up with gunpowder van(s) for quarries? I'm asking on an N.E.R. angle, but would imagine it would be similar for most companies? Would you expect to see them in a pickup goods with a barrier wagon or a dedicated train of their own?
Darryl seems to have covered the 1933 era.
I do not have an answer but am intrigued to have an NER Gunpowder Van as they must have served the local iron stone mines. Lingdale Mine for an example had a designated siding outside of the complex. It was trailing for incoming traffic as the line was uphill.
