  1. Pretty sure SK has said the decoders are in the warehouse ready to go its just waiting on the app to be ready, currently in beta testing.. hopefully good news though that they are starting to post out items, perhaps just round the corner now
  2. had an email about HM7000 being ready for dispatch and my card being charged: "Great news! Your HM7020: 15V Power Supply Adapter pre-order has arrived at our warehouse and will shortly be prepared for dispatch" HM7000 to be released soon? ill keep an eye out for decoders being released too
  3. Thanks Les, Are these compatible with Hornby's rolling stock? NEM couplings etc?
  4. Indeed the coaches in the sets are not the same as the individual rolling stock you can buy, the sets will not have lights in the carriages whilst the ones you can buy will..
  5. Great post, I really want an 0-4-0 or 0-6-0 but nothing from Hornby yet other then the 08s which i have one on preorder if you see an 0-4-0 or 0-6-0 anywhere give me a shout, i had a quick look but most are sold out. I have the easterner set on pre-order and already have the scotsman set so looking to add to my locos as they release as well as track packs in April.
  6. Following TT Talk from yesterday Simon mentioned HM7000 could be available by the end of the month or mid Feb, much sooner then thought it would appear.. possibly a beta as they talked about "testing testing testing" and pushing fixes etc Decoders in the warehouse ready to go too so seems like Hornby are on top of things.
  7. I emailed Simon to clarify about track packs and he said "the Track Packs they are still on schedule to arrive in April" they have individual pieces of track in the warehouse it would appear but not boxed up Track Packs etc
  8. "Join the team as they discuss all the latest updates regarding TT:120 & the HM7000." guess we will find out more on Thursday, Saw somebody post the below: https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/Hornby/news/rns/story/xj95vnw it says "We are excited about the Group's 2023 product range which launches today. In particular the Group is launching this month a new control system for trains utilising Bluetooth® technology to connect to phones or tablets, which will replace traditional systems in the market." however in the youtube video below at the very end they say Q2 2023 so could be anybody's guess, hopefully an answer on Thursday
  9. I'm very new to railways and getting started with TT:120 so HM7000 with next 18-pin decoders in all my locos or 6pin for some of the shunters is what ill use and only use.. I've got a spare android tablet that I don't really use so ill set this up for my locos etc I'm only looking at a smallish layout, basically the 5 track packs with a few changes so only would be running 3-4 locos at a time at most so HM7000 should be fine for what I need/want
  10. You can buy a 4amp transformer from Hornby: https://uk.Hornby.com/products/digital-15v-4-amp-transformer-p9300?modal=site-search Ill likely go down this route with DC, this will be 4x the requirement and when I emailed SK saying if it would be suitable he said to try what I currently have and then if not use the P9300 Digital 15V 4 Amp Transformer as linked..
  11. I contacted Simon this morning on the back of another email I sent last night and this is his reply: From: Simon Kohler Sent: 11 January 2023 09:17 To: Sean Subject: RE: HM7000 Power Question Dear Sean, Thanks for your email. Much depends on the size of the transformer ie amperage. 1amp maybe OK with sound but we cannot guarantee that hence focussing on non-sound. There is a chance it would be OK but it can be marginal. I hope that helps. If you need more clarity please do not hesitate, ask. Kind regards Simon From: Sean Sent: 11 January 2023 08:51 To: Simon Kohler <Simon.Kohler@Hornby.com> Subject: RE: HM7000 Power Question Good Morning Simon, Thank you for your prompt response and answering my question, One more question if you can, If using HM7000 and a DC Controller or just the transformer with adapter will you be able to get sound from the locos? In this video: https://youtu.be/h5kZ6wPnYYQ around the 10 minute 30 second mark the Hornby guy demonstrating says “you can use an analogue supply with our non sound decoders” so does this mean no sound if using DC/Analogue? Kind Regards, Sean =============================================================== Ill probably go with non sound decoders and then look at reviews after its been released (heard May 2023) and see if others have had any issues with DC/Analogue and sound
  12. Thanks for the response. Not sure if you watched the video but the Hornby employee says DC will not work with the sound? He literally says the non sound decoders etc. Sorry just want to be sure and to not have to spend a fortune on dcc equipment. Sean
  13. just watching this video: does seem to confirm that DC will not work with sound so to have sound working I would need to buy an elite (or other DCC command center) and DCC power track and the sound decoders? Sorry im new to this so would appreciate if somebody could explain like im 5 :) I get how the HM7000 works just trying to workout how sound works either and what would be required. Cheers, Sean
  14. Will do John. I expect the Internet especially YouTube will have various videos uploaded by those that get their sets tomorrow
  15. Got an email from DPD saying my 'Scotsman' set will be delivered tomorrow! Earlier then SK originally thought. Great news im sure we will see a lot of youtube reviews etc starting tomorrow and more track etc being released this week.
