I first learned of the word allision after we (an offshore windfarm vessel jacked up in port) were hit by another vessel. They still tried to say it was our fault!

There's a pub in Bristol (Bag O'Nails) that has several cats living there. Last time I was in there was one asleep on the bar and another couple sat on peoples knees. It's not a cat cafe sort of place, where the cats are the entertainment. It's more like the punters are for the cats entertainment (if they feel like it).

Looks fantastic - you've done a lot since it was at Larkrail. I see on the display screen on the layout a vehicle that looks like an original liveried Tyne and Wear Metro - am I mistaken (or if not what's the story of it being in the works?). Thanks Chris

I'm most impressed with your Whatley layout as I've always had a soft spot for the Mendip stone quarries since being introduced to the area as a boy in 1988. I occasionally cycle past the quarry to see what's happening, I took the below photo's this morning. Hopefully they are of interest. Cheers, Chris

Thanks for the advice - I popped in a local model shop today and found them out of stock of all spray varnish! I'll get some during the week and get a coat on.

Good Morning All, As a relative novice to modelling returning after a break of 30 years I need some transfer advice. I've put some Railtec waterslide transfers on an O gauge class 60 (railfreight sector markings). I put the transfers directly on the model with no pre coat of any varnish (which might not be ideal). I now need to seal over the transfers with varnish. As such I have a few questions: Do I need to spray over the whole loco to keep the finish consistent? If so I take it I would need to mask of the glazing? I would need to use a spray can - I see several products available - any recommendations (or any to avoid). Any other tips gratefully received. That looks like a fantastic experience. Quite reasonable for the content I think ( although sharing a cabin takes me back to engine cadet or drilling rig days!).

For administering tablets to our cat we use a 'pill popper'. It looks like a syringe but has a formed end that can hold a tablet. When you push the syringe the jet of water pushes the pill into the cat's throat and the water forces it to swallow. As out cat has arthritis it has two tablets a day, it's got to the point where he sits there as you do the tablet as he know's there's a bowl of food coming afterwards!

My company has a no paper chart policy now (dual electronic systems etc.), which is a great shame as my Land Rover has several gaskets made from paper charts! You don't get better gasket material than an Admiralty chart.

Further to the above, I've just seen a report that these crane parts are for an upgrade of the Cadeler vessel 'Wind Osprey'. The 'Happy Sky' arrived in Rotterdam in the last couple of days.

I wonder if thruster wash coming back off the bridge piers could upset the DP system? The system would see it as an external force then apply a correcting force accordingly.

I suspect part of a large crane boom. Possibly the upper part with the tip hidden from sight (this would explain why it's carried on stands above the main deck).
