  1. I've popped the chip into my Hornby 91 and reset it but still the chip isn't playing nicely and after popping it back into the 90 it still is unresponsive.
  2. Hi all, I've had my Bachmann class 90 for sometime now and changed the locos address to something more uniform whilst it had it had its lights on, however only afterwards that loco has become completely unresponsive, I've tried setting cv 8 to 8 as Bachmann recommends however the loco is still unresponsive, I've made sure that the loco still works on DC with the decoder in but outside of that the loco doesn't respond to any input. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. Oh bother, as I was internally hoping that I could use a Bachmann 150 as a base for it to save the extra hassle of building the cab, but ah nevermind.
  4. Hi all, I've been planning on building a class 317/2/3 using a Bachmann 150 as the base and purchasing the middle cars from bratchell. However before undertaking the project I thought it would be worth checking, did the 317/2s and 317/3s ever run out of london euston with this style of cab? or did they only stick to kings X and liverpool street?
  5. That's the main issue I have with the narrower base, as the rest of the locos I own i've either forcibly removed the pantograph in favour of a nicer one, or they came with decent ones out of the box, I may just end up using the mentioned lima 92 pantograph, as whilst detail use it isn't great at least its sprung and doesn't break instantly. As since the kits i've been building can just use a Heljan 86 pantograph or a continental one from sommerfeldt that looks "close enough"
  6. Hi all, After purchasing a Hornby (2021 tooling) class 91 I found myself rather frustrated with the plastic pantograph thats fitted to the 91 and after managing to break it, Curiosity got to the better of me and i'm wondering if anyone knows of any alternatives that are the same type that could fit the 91. I do know that the brecknell willis high speed design used on the 91 (and 92) seems to be different than to the other design found on mk3 EMU's and other locos. The only alternative i've found is the lima class 92 pantograph but outside of that I haven't seem to have found anything. Thanks in advance.
  7. In that case i'll probably just stick with a dull rusting grey bridge, just since the application for it on my own layout is the road bridge above the station.
  8. Hi all, Did at any point during the NSE era did they paint girder bridges any particular colour? Or for that matter was there any consistent colour scheme? Thanks in advance,
  9. The code 75 you're using, is it just the ordinary flat bottom code 75?
  10. Hi all, I've spent the past while undertaking a project to modernise an old Hornby class 86 (R.360 and variants) and whilst most of the needed upgrades have been completed (CD motor new pantograph and so on) Due to the wheelsets I've been un-able to run this on code 75 track, does any manufacture still produce replacement wheelsets for these to run on fine scale track?
  11. Hi all, with all the different catenary systems, specifically these ones I've been looking at: Márklin, Sommerfeldt/Peco and JV how compatible are they between each other? As they don't seem too different all things considered.
  12. Hi all, with my current layout project I've come to the difficult topic of catenary since I plan on using the headspan type seen here: I've basically a couple ideas with the best way I can try to do this, of either A trying to source old JV headspan catenary or adapting marklin ones and fitting new masts to them. The only other idea was to make them however im not exactly sure where to start. Any suggestions for what to do?
  13. Hi guys, Been looking around for some Bachmann Mk1 CK coaches (or any non-brake coaches for that matter) in Network Southeast livery, having some difficulty finding them and thought to check here if anybody had any here, Thanks in advance, Alex
