Just in time for Christmas!

Hi all; We don't have an EV, (we opted for a non plug in hybrid) but we did get a solar PV system at the end of Feb this year with a 4.6Kw solar array and a 5.2Kw inverter (Gen2) along with a 9.5Kw battery. We are considered as high users of electricity, my wife has dissabilities and is at home all day, and most things in the house are electric. We have found that looking at the figures since the system went in, we have consumed a faction more than we have generated, but not always at the same time! In other words we generate a lot when we are not using anything, then when not generating we tend to use more electric. We are now coming to terms with doing a lot more during the day, and less at night, trying not to overload the PV system, such as not washing cooking and drying all at the same time. Just switched to Octopus two weeks ago, but they cannot access our meter which is a shame as they installed it about four years ago. Reading all your comments about the feed in tarrifs available - I need to do some more reading...
