  1. When I volunteered on the GCR I painted and sign-wrote that Kiosk. It’s Buckingham Green, with Holborn Cream lettering. Can’t find my original research but that’s what I found out, after contacting WH Smiths The kiosk was also built for a film and retained.
  2. The “Squares” are for fitting one end of a “Shark Spanner” A universal tool for opening all types of plain bearing axle box. Essentially a toothed spanner for any size of nut.
  3. If you are thinking of the infrastructure monitoring and rolling stock test trains these were operated by Serco.. http://www.traintesting.com/Serco-index.htm TRU did however carry a rail track livery.
  4. We have applied weathering to our resident out of traffic Austerity No 75006 to look like a J94 from Boston. The visiting Austerity No 3193 will also be receiving similar treatment for a Photocharter on Monday coming.
