I have started working on an experimental film series commemorating the 50 anniversary of the closure. Here is a link to a incomplete draft version of the first film, the sound needs fixed and the end is missing but you can hopefully see where it is going (literally). I would appreciate any feed back. Sorry if this is a bit off topic but I didn't want to start a new thread on the 50th commemoration when this is already there.
I would appreciate some comment on this design for a regional terminus. Two longer platform for long distance traffic with 2 small one for short local trains. Set in end of steam era. The idea for on platform with and one without a run round came for Bath Green Park. The 3rd road at the end is essentially a siding.
With the reopening of the Settle and Carlisle immanent. I was wondering about recreating the Thames for or Waverley and traveling the route today. It might make an interesting short film.
Obviously, Tweedbank to Carlisle is missing from the route. The Carlisle to London section appear not to be straightforward either. I have had a look ticketing web sites but would welcome any assistance on planning the journeys. In particular the actual route of the trains took, though I suppose this changes over time.
Looking back the other way in 2015 the Abbotsford hotel is still there though shut
