  1. just lean out the side and jump back in before something hits you
  2. from what i remember reading about the 2-10-0 they were suppose to heat better than other locos there for needing less coal than you would think. of course, i'm no engineer so i may be off on that
  3. from what i've read it had a use on the lancashire and yorkshire railway and probably could work but higher ups seemed against it. just now realizing i probably should scan this and a few other things in the book but the printer is currently down.
  4. has anyone metioned the lanky 2-10-0 at all? i got some drawing of the loco and i was thinking about sharing them if anyone wanted to see it.
  5. when you test the coaches, i dare you to put them behind a king class
  6. i assume if the coaches don't exactly work in time periods you just use rule 1
  7. ah, a baby tom with outside cylinders. actually looks really nice
  8. you call the first one 1, the next 2, the one after that 3, and so on
  9. i probably am at a lesser skill level than you but i think the project is worth at least trying. the idea for using the Bachmann junior's chassis is a nice one and i will look into that. i had been thinking maybe getting a terrier chasssis and switching out the wheels but i haven't settled on a proper chassis yet. the only thing i know i will use is the saddle tank from a smokey joe to make the saddle tank, the rest is still up in the air right now.
  10. i was thinking about a side tank loco but now that i know about a lyr one....time to figure out how to build that!
  11. I've been thinking about trying to bash a 2-4-0 passenger tank engine together but i really have no idea where to start, could anyone give me some advice?
  12. that's why they come with a wrench and a sledge hammer
  13. so just make it more of a regular green and less of a dark green....or a darker red
  14. The 4f looks nice but it seems to have little coal space.
  15. was a clockwork engine retooled to be a electric loco. the clockwork one had 6 wheels but when upsizing it they used a 0-4-0 chassis
  16. with the old layout gone now what are the general plans for the new layout?
  17. i just hope it's not Bachmann. it would take 5 years to come out
  18. that was duck, thomas came to breakfast and broke the house quickly
  19. that looks more like it could be a 0-10-0 shunter...which i now want to make.
