Goodness George! I think you're a bit younger than me, and really i'd rather you postponed that inevitability. Once the medics sort out your present difficulty, you could be set for a great many more years. Plenty on here hope so!
Sorry Ian, I didn't mean to sound so morose. In fact my mojo and my humour are very much still intact. But... I'd be lying if I said it was business as usual after a such a diagnosis.

I have to die. If it is now, well then I die now; if later, then now I will finish my layout, since this is the hour for modelling – and dying I will tend to later.

I'm retired you see so all days are Sundays....?
The great shame of being retired, no more weekends, nothing to look forward to. When to open the wine, oh dear.

Fortunately I was fast tracked for a RALP, prostatectomy this Monday. Like others have already said, I've found RMweb to be a very warm and friendly and helpful place. I look forward to my morning fix, my afternoon fix and many other times in between. Obviously, feeling a bit out of it right now, as it's only been two days since surgery. But I'm hoping to be able to get back to finishing Bodmin Moor soon enough. Mind you, there's still a few months till SWAG.
Very pleased to report that it's now been two weeks since my operation at the RD&E and as Nina Simone once said. "And I'm feeling good!" Especially when that damn catheter was removed last Wednesday. So today sees the start of the backscene painting, as that's not too strenuous. And besides, if I don't start creating something soon, I'll go crazy.

Excellent scenics there George. You've captured the mosses perfectly and also the blend-in of the backscene
Thanks John. The backscene is a photo now, but will eventually be an oil painting .

Thanks Ade.
Now that we're almost there, I'm looking forward to showing Bodmin Moor at my first ever exhibition, SWAG '24 in April and then Exmoor Rail in Minehead in June.
