  1. Thanks Oncomin5torm for your thumbs up.
  2. Last night I built the Wills relay box kits, this morning the relay boxes have been painted and weathered. Then finally glued in place. I’m happy with the way my diorama is starting to look. Monday I will order some ballast and static grass to start laying down the ground cover. A little picture of my work so far.
  3. This is a fantastic little layout, very well thought out and the modelling is great.
  4. Afternoon I have completed laying the cable trunking to my diorama and have weathered up the trunking. I am pleased with the way it looks, I expected delivery of the relay boxes today but no joy. So I have uploaded a picture of latest work.
  5. Richard you have done a great job painting up the figures.
  6. Nice work it definitely looks better once the gaps were worked on. The fence work looks great.
  7. Dickon I like the little story to go with your cakebox challenge. The modelling you have achieved is really good.
  8. DMU

    Howl's Bay.

Paul great pictures of the Sentinel.
  9. The embankment looks a lot better since you cropped it and added the static grass. You have done a nice job weathering the track and ballast. The fence posts look just right, enjoy the wiring.
  10. I like the figures Richard, will look nice once painted up.
  11. Dickon I like your cakebox layout. Riding along in a carriage at the back of a small locomotive is exactly what I can remember and still love to do.
  12. A wonderful model layout, I like the idea of your working crane and the use of Christmas lights for the lighting around your layout.
  13. This is taking shape nicely, I’m pleased you have sorted where your track should finally be. IMHO the paving does look better than tarmac..
  14. Hi my Trackside diorama has had some more work carried out this morning. It’s my first time using cardboard covered with paper mache, which I think has turned out well. This will be left to dry before painting on a base coat. Base coat has been painted to the area which will have static grass and weeds, the rail sides have been painted an oily colour and rust will be added to the sleeper chairs. The line which you can see is where the trunking will be and beyond this will be two relay boxes, security fence, skip and some trackside workers. Next week will see me purchase the items I need to start building my diorama.
  15. Thanks Oncomin5torm for the information you have provided for me.
  16. Those are quite nice shed kits, I like the colours you have picked to paint your shed. Thanks for sharing.
  17. Yesterday I managed to get the length of track glued to my diorama board, which has had time to dry properly over night. I have a question is sleeper grime the paint to use on the rail sides and sleepers.
