Thanks again for breaking this subject down, I would say that despite the complications in signalling, flexibility is important, if only for operational interest. I could have gone with a one engine in steam system, but would prefer to be able to pass trains rather than using the loop purely for shunting off the main line.
Besides, you seem to have gone to some length to figure all that out and produce a diagram, it would be a shame NOT to use it!
The footprint of the old Ratio kit for Highley signal box is approximately 46 x 56mm (10'9"X 14'0") and I happen to have one kicking around. I'm thinking perhaps using the top half and steps as a basis and making a slightly lower brick base with a single window or a timber base to match the top.
Then again, that kit from Dexters looks rather crisply moulded...

That is a very nice and not often seen pair of Nortons.
A civvy Rotary has to be a rare beast. The other looks like a late ES2 in the model 77 type frame.

The photos of Blue Anchor are quite impressive.
As is the signalling diagram, really impressive. I will risk appearing like a complete doof here, am I right in thinking that I require some nine individual signal posts, two junction/bracket signals and two ground signals?

Now that is an interesting, not to mention tempting little model. Particularly because it can be ordered with the steps left or right handed.
At 50mm X 50mm it scales up to 12'6" square. Which may be a bit tight given the information that @Nick C has supplied re the lever frame . But it's something well worth considering because it's the right kind of building and it won't overwhelm the rest of the buildings.

Slap on and then wipe off with wadded damp cloth or sponge. You don't want 100% perfect.

Not had chance to go to the TT for a good while. It's one of the last races that isn't just a 200mph queue. I quite fancy the MGP though for the same reasons as you.
That's another one for my time machine list TT from about 1929, 1938 and 1950.

Repaired with springs salvaged from another tatty saddle.
I wonder how long it will last?
My inner cynic says that a lot of repro parts are only fit for purpose of you're only going to polish the bike and boast about it being "better than money in the bank".
Heaven forbid you might want to ride the thing.

I fitted this saddle brand new six months ago, cost me around £70.
Five of the mattress springs have snapped, two more are missing in action.
Before you ask, I only weigh 13 stone!
Ignore the union flag on the base, I checked it out. Total c2ap made in Taiwan.
No wonder original Lycette or Terry saddles fetch a mint.

I thought so too. I think that I can use a good number of components from that with a scratchbuilt lower brick base. All I have to do as @CaptainKernow says is make sure that my proposed lever frame would fit.

BSA certainly did have the OHC twin in rideable prototype form and were looking to launch in the 1940 catalogue. It would have been a good step ahead of rivals. With the level of innovation and new model investment that was going on in the thirties, how different our industry would have been had WW2 not literally cost us the earth.

That is because humans do fall into "types" regardless of racial origin. Which is how comedic writers can create a recognisable character with whom the audience will identify.
For instance how often have you seen a child that reminds you in some way of the milky bar kid?
It's the same thing with Hollywood. There are groups of similar looking actors and actresses who play similar roles and who if they aren't absolutely top of the list household names, you can get them mixed up.
If you can remember their names that is.
It's also a case of (and not that you don't care either) that for reasons of how some of our brains are wired, that you can instantly recall when BSA stopped fitting their speedometers into the top of the bike's petrol tank, but you can't remember the name of the bloke from accounts that you spoke to yesterday.

I think there's enough room in modern steering wheel hubs for a more than effective Claymore...
That's quite delightfully brutal. My other half would love that. She drives a Triumph Herald, so she'll be okay.
