  1. This feature is available since firmware 5.3.113 which came with LokProgrammer software 5.0.12. Maybe you have an older firmware version on the decoder.
  2. We did it! Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxh7QdelReA&list=PLZB86Yx18yLe5eqcbU3eB2zdcZhMko0x1&index=1
  3. New file for the LMS 8F out now. File for Southern V class Schools will follow. And - have a look at the price. 8F video link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=xwsSfTboE5s&list=PLZB86Yx18yLe1oVjbQAZkz-LWpvn77Ve7&index=1
  4. I just quickly fitted as shown for testing our sound but if you are prepared to cut a bit of the internal plastic, seal all around and then glue real coal on top of the tender you would achieve a nicer sound Hope it helps!! Stai bene Saluti Locoman
  5. New projects coming soon! After having launched the Southern 'Schools' V Class on D&H we converted our LMS 8F project from Zimo to D&H. Both will be 85£ each. Also the LNER A4 project will be soon available on D&H for 95£. Please have a look at our website for further details. https://locomansounds.com/product-category/dcc-sound-decoders/d-and-h/ Photo by A .Anderson. 6. Fortunately it's just 85 quid instead of 110+
  7. The active brake is less complicated and easier to set than with Zimo or ESU decoders, so it is absolutely not necessary to have it on a momentary button. F2 is actually intended internationally for a whistle, so that if the whistle is designed as a playable whistle, it can also be played very short and in succession. Nevertheless, to exchange F2 and F4, for example: CV 316: change value from 2 to --> 4 (whistle from F2 to F4) CV 317: change value from 4 to --> 2 (1st brake valve sound from F4 to F2) CV 390: change value from 4 to --> 2 (active brake from F4 to F2) FYI: CV 391 = brake time with active brake on (default about 14) PLEASE NOTE: these values are for recent projects only. If you purchased some time ago the mapping might be different so these CVs are not always valid. Please write an email in case.
  8. Only the remapping itself is easy. But there are some multifunctional F-keys that would require an explanation (F1, F4, F7, F10, F13, F17). For this reason we do not want to publish a general list. But nothing easier than sending us an email and we help. Please go to our website locomansounds.com for email address and phone number. Don't forget to indicate where the original function should be moved to or whether the functions should only be swapped.
  9. Just a video from a satisfied customer showing the differences between Black 5 TTS vs. Locoman and 0-6-0 sound Zimo/Youchoos vs. Locoman (Q class file) Link to video: https://youtu.be/ZkM8R7LYmVA
  10. Last friday we received the Terrier model but unfortunately it was a disappointment. No good runner and poor pick ups Nice good looking model but if every single one has the same behavior than better keeping on using the Hornby ones. We spoke to Rails and a prepaid label was sent in order to return the model and immediately, of course as expected , we were told that our test layout could be blamed for this poor performance. Awaiting for their report
  11. Yes, Britannia project will be available on D&H.
  12. Terrier project on D&H decoder now with new features: buffer clashing and clanking with auto-off at stop, and adjustable automatic coasting in shunting/light engine mode. Link to video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CU0q4xD_mk&list=PLZB86Yx18yLe1oVjbQAZkz-LWpvn77Ve7&index=3&t=0s
  13. Dave, the larger OO gauge D&H decoders can handle up to 2 amps of motor current (SD21 and SD22). Certainly sufficient for an O gauge loco with just one motor but with 2 motors you are at the limit. Some Heljan 37 were reported to need just 1.5 amps while others draw 2.5 amps. Locoman
  14. Our A3 Flying Scotsman sound project was reviewed in full in the July 2020 issue of Hornby Magazine. Please have a look at the video (video and photo by Hornby Magazine): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZTtEKcWI70&list=PLZB86Yx18yLcwOty1LZ8AnN_wY3MAa_rr&index=1

  20. True. All CVs up to 255 dont need any index CVs at all so index Values don't matter.

  23. This is why I now distribute in Uk D&H Decoders. I offer my sound projects on D&H German sound decoders at £85 with my sounds I try to offer what you modellers ask, good product with quality sound at a fair price. Grazie for your reply Saluti Locoman
  24. In my experience no one could appreciate or understand the work involved until someone would try to do what we do. I think that is enough to say that most of times it would take 4, 5 or 6 hours of driving to that specific railway where you are supposed to carry out your recordings Once there, you get changed, in raining and cold days cabling outside the loco and after those 2, 3 hours , by the time you finish to fix your equipment is time to check in at the hotel and quite surely you would consume your dinner at around 10.30 in the evening. At 5 am it is time to go to the shed and starting to position your microphones and then enjoy the hard day ahead. Back to the shed at around 6pm by the time your equipment gets removed and a quick shower it would be at least 7.30pm, by then enjoy your trip back home and at around 12.30 or 1am you would then make your entry home. Now i would like to ask a simple question, HOW MUCH SHOULD I GET PAID? As said, before reply just try yourself, every kind of business has the hard side of the bread!!!!!!!!!!!! Statemi Bene Saluti Locoman
  25. There are high quality blank DCC sound decoders available for around £ 70.
