Your building lighting is very effective and adds to the scenery 👍

Thanks, having lit the main buildings - station, goods shed, signal box etc. I didn’t just want a row of dark building shells along the backscene.

@PMP99 the buildings look great and sit well along the back. I’ve built a few Petite Properties buildings now. Have found them enjoyable to build and speeds the build up a bit.
Cheers,
Andrew
Yes, I think it was on your thread I first saw them. Even being low relief I still had to reduce the depth of them by about 50% and couldn’t make full use of extra fittings like porches, in my limited space.
They certainly give a good starting point though.

First post for a while as much of the winter project was making new low-relief buildings for the back of the layout.
In a further change I scrapped the couple of scratchbuilt attempts I had made.
Instead the replacements are mostly modified ‘Petite Properties’ items, the exceptions being the scratch built factory at the left hand end and the ‘Skytrex’ factory at the right hand end.

Wonder if its a new (unwelcome) policy or just an error of omission? Can anyone confirm whether models from the latest batch apart from 9466 include plates?
I purchased 9481 (35-026A) last week. No etched plates

Coach No.3 & No.5 were the first to arrive on the railway, followed later by No.1 & No.2 which were slightly longer. No.4 arrived the year after.
Yes, coach 3 is a foot shorter and also has an internal partition.

Sorry about that, and agree you certainly don't want to sign up.
This might work, although you'll have to download it to view it, which I know won't feel ideal either!
Thanks, managed to download it onto my laptop, couldn't open it on my tablet.

Note sure how well this link will work - perhaps someone can confirm?
I couldn’t view it as I think you need to sign in to Dropbox which is not something I wish to do.
However, from your text it doesn’t seem very good!

It may just be an optical illusion but the smokeboxes and boiler taper seem quite different between the two in those pics: Dapol smokebox looks narrower diameter. Maybe its just the matt paint catching the light differently?
Just tried to do a very quick check with the vernier and the smokebox diameter is pretty similar, Dapol may be slightly narrower but difficult for me to measure accurately. Not sure how much can be read from my photos at that angle, however I think it was established a while back that the Dapol boiler taper isn’t quite right. It was explored at length on the Dapol Manor thread.

Nearest the door should be straight down so that's correct.
Wonder if everyone gets a spare as your two arms are at a different angle to all the other photos?
Yes, I found another dart in the accessory bag.- 1

Regarding these two items:
- the buffers are far too heavily sprung to be of any practical use, they might as well be solid.
- To reveal a blocked off hole. In doing so, we're given oversize hinges and on mine, the lid is wonky*. I think it would have been nicer just moulded correctly.
*There's a few other QC issues on mine. Once I've given it a full look over, I'll do a proper write up.
Agree about the buffers being too heavily sprung, and I just glued the tender tank filler lid shut!

7812 arrived today. Only time for a quick test on DC but very smooth running straight out of the box.
The chimney on mine was also displaced slightly, easy to rectify, however doesn’t look like it was well fitted in the first place.
Subsequently found the safety valve bonnet was also very loose and needed re-gluing!
