  1. Here is the pre-production sample that was on display at Model Rail Scotland.
  2. Hope you have a great weekend. Good chance Eden Road TMD will be making the journey down from Scotland To next years show.
  3. Some Primo Models trees have been added to the layout. These are much more realistic.
  4. Does anyone know the timescales on the DRS Class 20, it was supposed to be in the 2017 range, but not really seen anything else on it since.
  5. Thanks I’m glad you like it, yes it was at the Dundee show in 2018, it’s first outing. I’ve a few more things I want to do to the layout, so will add updates as much as I can. Eden Road TMD will be the Bonnybridge show in April, Glenrothes in May, and Greenock in October.
  6. Hi Jamie yes they are really good, I have a few more to add to the layout albeit the no LED versions. I’m sure you will like them, please share pics with me once you add to you layout. I have ordered a Mark 5 set of TP coaches from Accurascale. Not sure where I’m going to put them as the layout is not large enough. Might have to build an extension Ryan .
  7. Hoping to attend this year on the Saturday. Look forward to seeing some of the layouts posted above.
  8. Some of the locos used on the layout. Dapol Class 68 - Transpennine Express livery. Dapol Class 73 - GBRF livery. Bachmann Class 66’s - Both DRS livery.
  9. That’s great to know Jo. I have a pack of the unlit ones as well, these will he added to the layout in due course.
  10. Hi Jamie thanks, yes at the moment the layout will be at Bonnybridge - 25th & 26th April, Glenrothes - 9th & 10th May and Greenock - 17th & 18th October. The main shed is 2 of Gaugemaster’s Fordhampton TMD kits. Joined together. I have a loco body I put on jacks on one of the tracks, so I can get three running locos in it at anyone time.
  11. Thanks, yes it’s pure coincidence but it’s a good one.
  12. thanks Joe. Still adding to it so will keep the updates coming.
  13. Work on the shed and layout in general has continued. I used Woodland Scenic Foam Putty to fill the gaps, then painted with a Woodland Scenics Concrete paint. In addition to this I have added some Sankey Scenics signs to the Knightwith Portacabins and also to a Scenecraft site office. The walkway is from Scale Model Scenery.
  14. ‪I have been working on the hard standing within the shed. Adhesive cork tiles have been fixed between tracks. Gaps will be filled with modelling putty and sanded. Plasticard will be cut to go between the rails. The main shed is to be painted and then detailed internally and externally. ‬
  15. The Accurascale Rawie buffer stops are fantastic. The standard of these are exceptional, space limits on the layout means I can’t use the friction blocks but even without they look brilliant.
  16. Hello I have recently joined RM Web, and thought I’d share my layout Eden Road TMD with the group. I will try and post regular updates on the layout as i am still adding bits an pieces to it to enhance the look and feel of it. Eden Road TMD is a representation of a Traction Maintenance Depot set loosely between 2000’s and present day to allow a range of motive power to be used. The depot is operated by Direct Rail Services (DRS) to service their fleet of locomotives. Visiting traction from other UK operators such as GBRF, West Coast Railways, Freightliner, Colas and DB Cargo can also be seen along with some coaching stock stabled. The layout contains a twin road locomotive shed, a smaller shed, refuelling point, a train wash and some storage sidings for basic maintenance. A fenced compound is used for storage of FNA nuclear flask carriers between movements. Eden Road TMD stemmed from the purchase of one of Dapol’s Class 68 locos and the plan to have a smaller layout that can be easily transported to shows by car. The name is based on the river that runs through Cupar in Fife, however the location has purposely not been determined to allow artistic licence. The layout is DCC using an NCE Pro-cab system, track is from Peco. The locos and other rolling stock are from Dapol, Hornby, Bachmann, Lima and ViTrains, the locos have been fitted with DCC Decoders mostly from Gaugemaster or Bachmann. Buildings and scenic detailing are from a range of suppliers including Bachmann Scenecraft, Scale Model Scenery, Gaugemaster, Knightwing plus others with some custom modifications to suit the layout. The layout is in three sections, each 4ft x 2 ft. It is an exhibition layout as has been to 6 shows since it was built in 2018, with two more booked for 2020 so far.
  17. Yes i think that too, website now states Feb/Mar for the version i have on order. They must have an idea from the shipping company where the container is and its eta into the UK.
  18. I have resigned myself to the fact that my Cemex 66 will be delayed, despite ordering one on launch day and being told it will be air freighted and will arrive before Xmas. A email to say it was delayed would have been nice, rather than rely on the website updates. But hey, we are where we are. Looking forward to getting mine as the samples at Warley looked fantastic.
  19. My PFA’s arrived yesterday. They are superb and look brilliant on the layout.

The layout requires a minimum space of 14 feet x 6 feet including operating space and barriers, but more space is always appreciated. Eden Road TMD can be transported by car, expenses limited to cover fuel costs & travel costs as i prefer to generally pay for my own accommodation. More photos and information can be found at www.edenroadtmd.com or on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram - @edenroadtmd Owner - Ryan Gray, email edenroadtmd at hotmail dot com I am based in Fife, but willing to travel to most of the UK and Ireland.
