Has anyone tried DCC Concepts Dark shed ballast?

Hi, can anyone help? I am building an early 1960's steam MPD and would like to know what to use for the fine dark looking sooty ballast found in these sheds, rather than ordinary track ballast. Also what to use for my ash plant. cheers guys

Hi Guys, I have just completed 2 Metcalfe model Viaducts to be used to create a long viaduct. My question is would they be ballasted or is it Ok to leave as is? (see pic) I am thinking if I ballast the track using the PVA method would it warp the kit cardboard. thanks

Hi guys, just starting a new layout, and planning to use Peco Elecrofrog points for the first time, I have an idea where to put the feeds, but am unsure of where to put the IRJ. Would anyone be kind enough to show me where the feeds and Joiners should go. Also would the points isolate the sidings as Insulfrog do. The picture is not my layout but I am using this as my track plan. It will be Analogue Controlled using Gaugemaster controller. thanks a lot
