  3. Damned bug is still giving trouble. Another day lost sitting in A&E being prodded, poked and stuff being pumed in.

Thanks. I can relate to that. The sudden wall of tiredness presents itself and I can’t get over it.

It seems so. Apparently long covid is declared after 12 weeks. I'm not quite there yet and don't intend to be.

Yup I'm all pumed out. Ready for ballast under my feet and actually seeing a train or two.

Joe charged me £1000 each for the two I had from him. I'd need to ask for that figure I'm afraid. It is currently attached and working a signal at home.

110v DC was the highest voltage they did. I have one at that voltage. The last two i bought from a dealer were £1000 each. Might be worth checking to see if he has any more. Joe Nemeth, Chepstow or there abouts.

A photo or a signal motor proper? The last one I bought was around a grand from a dealer.

  11. I'm finding simple things difficult lol. I have managed to carry out a control change on a signal  and thats about it. It did involve five track circuits and three lots of point detection but was succesful all the same. (OO gauge, steering clear of the bigger stuff for a bit)

Definitely. The model railway has never had so much attention.

The hospital ring every 12 hours. Got a magic machine to monitor blood saturation that clips on my finger. Anything below 92 is go back to jail without passing go. Currently 94.

  16. I booked xmas off so loads of modelling time. Was feeling a bit down that it was nearing the time to return to work. Feeling down turned to feeling ill. One positive test later.

I feel I'm on the mend. Not so for Mrs LNERGE. Keeping an eye on the kids but nothing of concern so far.

Yes indeed. With TPWS the bean counters can see, via data recorders, exactly how much that safety device has saved. Not so with AWS. Lewisham's and Harrow's are no longer in the equation yes but there is no way of knowing exactly what AWS has done for us other than make the railway generally much safer.

Having been in the cab in the dark in fog at very high speed the nerves of steel are still required. A bell and a flash of a green light every thirty seconds or so then has to be supplemented by those nerses of steel, wits and experience.

It finally tipped the balance towards AWS. We simply don't know how many times that has saved the day since.

  22. Asymmetrical braking success! Soon my model railway wont need me.

  23. My head used to swim from the perfume I smelled
My hands kind of fumbled with her white plastic belt
I taste her baby pink lipstick and that's when I melt
She whispered in my ear tonight she really was mine
