Is the sound and motion correctly synchronised? A couple of vids I've seen didn't seem in sync. I've not received my model yet to confirm.

Hi. Happy owner of a sound fitted accurascale deltic. Apart from all my other locos have zimo chips with active brake enabled. Is it possible to engage an esu equivalent on a the locksound v5?

Regarding the speaker screws (or lack of) can anyone confirm they are meant to be screws there? Has anyone had them fitted from the factory.

Few comments from the sound demo video: A few times it seemed the chuff rate and loco speed weren't quite in sync, may be just camera angles/editing but is it intended they will be properly synced? The loco finish seemed a little dull. Will the production ones have a glossier finish? Finally there was mention of active braking on function 2. I assume this works like the zimo braking, can this be added to the new deltic chips via CVS (if so any chance of a guide on the accurascale website?) Otherwise looks stunning!

Mine arrived today. I fitted a zimo mx618n18 and it runs beautifully. I only have a straight shelf display track at the moment so do t know if running over points would cause a stall. I did try each pair of driving wheels and they all have contact however does seem to go a little jerky suggesting that the wheel contacts may struggle to transfer enough current even though contact is being made. Especially as a Hornby peckett performed perfectly when only one set of wheels are powered. Over all though very glad I waited for the Dapol model rather than going for Hornby.

@Oliver Rails Are dapols new large prairies expected to be in stock before the sale ends?

Does anyone have any info about the sound file used in the large prairie?

Does anyone know the accuracy of the wheels on not having the white band painted on? Personally I think they would look better and would match the loco if it was added

Have you tried these with kadees? If so do you have a recommendation for which ones to use for a layout with 3rd radius as the minimum curve size.

Tried programming with sprog and it has worked fine. Only slightly odd thing is I can't access CV 349 on the mx600r decoders. (I can on mx616 and mx617). Despite this though the brakes do work

Thanks for the advice so far, decoder reset made no difference. As far as I'm aware all zimo chips support the brake function (that's one of the reasons I went with zimo!) On further research it seems the dcs52 can only program upto cv255. I've ordered a sprog 2 so when that arrives I'll try CV 309 and 349 and report back

Hi I trying to program some zimo chips (mx600r and mx617) to enable braking. All are new chips and have the required firmware. I've adjusted CVS 3,4 and 5 how I want it and now want to add the brake function. When trying to program cv309 =2 it accepts the command but the CV value is showing as 130 (strangely the starting value was 70). If I change the value to 0 it shows as 128. It is the same trying to adjust CV 349. Has anyone come across this before? I'm using a digitrax dsc52 to program the chips.

Turns out the wire wasn't connected on pin 4 on the loco side of the connector. Top quality quality control thanks Hornby..... Anyway it works now.

Hi, I've just installed a zimo mx617f into a new Hornby peckett b2. The loco has been ran in on DC and works perfectly. With the decoder installed there is no response either to run on address 03 and when on the programming track the controller (digitrax zephr express) just says program track empty. The decoder has already been back to the supplier who have checked it and said it's ok. Any one had this before and got any ideas how to resolve?.

In my opinion it should be sent back if nothing else to highlight the quality issue to Hornby. That can't fix an issue if they don't know about it. These models are sold as ready to run, not kits. Hornby like many others are happy to increase prices each year and I, like many others are happy to pay those prices, but only if the products are of the highest quality.

Hi, what are people's thought on the best sound file for class 03 shunters? I've seen various clips on YouTube and a lot are very old with poor sound so hard to make a decision! I'd prefer to use a zimo decoder and it needs to be a next 18 chip for the current Bachmann model.

I'm simply lifting the tender up off the rolling road. The tender isnt disconnected at any time. All locos are the current models with 8 pin socket in the tender. I could understand a poor connection in one loco but not all. They have all had minimal use as my layout is currently dismantled so can only have done a max of 3-4 hours running each.

Hi, I've noticed without exception that all my modern Hornby tender locos (2x A4, 2x duchess, Princess royal, king and black 5) run slightly faster on a rolling road when the tender is not picking up power. They are all running on DC and with a hm2000. No other issues but just seems odd that all have the same characteristics. Anyone else seen this?
