Definitely in for any Transrail 37/4, or 37/0's but oddly enough I would go for one of the Mainline freight 37/7 s on grey maybe 37705 or 37709.
I would like 37219 as I had it for haulage from Warrington Bank Quay to Manchester Piccadily and back in the year 2000.

My neighbours will be wandering "what the blood hell is that?" though any English Electric prime mover would do! Awesome! My garage isn't big enough for a Doxford 2 stroke prime mover.

I liked it when it was multi class and a mix of M3 and Sierra Cosworth.
I liked John Cleland in the Cavalier SRI and the Vectra SRI. One of my former taxis was a Peugeot 406. Every night at work was my own BTCC race! (within the realms of speed limits of course).

Oh, believe me, it is for one of us 😆
The era that marked the final hurrah for proper BTCC racing, before aero and ballast spoiled the racing!
It was my favourite motor racing at the time. I enjoyed more than F1.

Tons of 47’s (47/8’s) had silver white at the bottom.
The video shows at least 6 in the 38 minutes footage.
that was certainly no ordinary day at Preston station ! That was Network North West Day, the diesel equivalent of a plandampf with various freight and exotic locos on passenger turns.. 60056’s debut, and at 32mins in you can see the Accurascale mk2c BFK in Intercity.
At 18m36, where the 31/1 is shunting the RR mk2 stock past 26040 you can see a RR Mk2b 5491. Indeed 26040 was only solo as its dance partner got dragged from Victoria to Bolton and nearly caught fire, ended up dumped in the pass through line at Bolton.
Theres other interesting stuff there including a failed Glasgow London Motorail, with a REs 47 dragging 86260 south (must be lovely timekeeping), and ignores there must have been at least 3 class 86’s around Preston spare. Indeed both before and after was a Manchester -Glasgow, and a Euston -Blackpool AC/D loco change.
I never get how southbound departures from Preston Diesel drivers used to seem to love letting rip and going full beans on what is a straight ahead downhill departure… full wang everytime.lovely video broight back a lot of memories, and 37706 on that Blackpool was fantastic.. i’m in the second coach at the window in that vid. The 20’s were pretty special too.
Didnt realise Preston still had sleeper cars in 1992.
The HST set that 43054 and 43073 were working was The Cumbrian Coast 125 run by Hertfordshire Railtours from St Pancras to Workington.
As for the diesel drivers letting rip southbound, I miss the cross country 47's for that reason. Also the HST's used to go for it heading south as well. In 1992 I was only 10 years old.

Or some Super Saloons.
I wouldn't have thought that mid 1990's British Touring Car Championsip, would have been Accurascale's thing!

I don't remember seeing any locos in Swallow with light grey. I have found a couple of photos of 87031 with the Italic Intercity branding with yellow ends (but no wrap around) & light grey but no swallow logo.
But I would not be bold enough to state that no locos ever ran like it.
Exceptions are the 43s & 91s which had both silver white on the lower side of the nose end & light grey on the lower side at the coach end.
I think I have a suitable candidate. 47509.

The seller has the gall to say “They could benefit from restoration” yet still wants £30 each for them!Personally I think they would benefit from the application of a hammer.

The Derby Sulzers website is really useful. The number of changes made to the little grills above the cab doors and also the boiler exhaust and engine exhaust panels over the years as they passed through works. There are a myriad of differences.

The model of D9 (not 44009) is pre-crash with standard ends.
Ok thank you for that. Will you be tooling D9 post crash modification?

The model has been designed so that earlier locos have MW equipment and, as with the Class 45s, the sandboxes for the inner ends of the bogies are in the bag of optional detail parts and can be quickly and easily added if you need them. There are lots of little differences from the 45s that have been incorporated on the new 44 tooling - and quite a few differences even among the 10 locos that we have built into the tooling.
Windscreens have been reshaped in response to feedback about the 45s as has the curve at the top of the cab doors.Hope this helps.

Will 44009 have a four character headcode box at the number one end?

I guess you mean "aren't" ?
AFAIK Dapol have listed every livery they carried apart from a couple of one-off advertising specials in the West Mids.
They haven't done the First North Western dark blue with the gold star. Also they haven't announced the northern blue and purple livery.

But where do you stand on D444 in two tone green ?
I would definitely have one if it were released as a special, but I haven't seen any interest in it.
Best heritage livery created in my view
It has been mentioned earlier in the thread. A couple of people have posted pictures of it. I would certainly buy one of D444 in two tone green.
I would also buy 50017 in the maroon livery, as it is the only class 50 I have seen at speed on the west coast main line.
And, as ADB968008 says, 50031 looks good in intercity livery.

In the 100th year or century since the grouping they have announced or produced, the buckjumper (eastern region) and the gwr thing (western region), so it only stands to reason that their announcement will be, LMS or southern......

Who knows what the 'current scene' will be in forty years' time? - but I'd guess far less variety than we have even now so maybe negligible interest in the hobby in any form. ☹️
So multiple units will be the norm? Which means a ready to run electrostar, civity, and siemens units.
