  1. I was born in Walton and lived there until the late 1990's as a child we often played on Walton Triangle, I would like to recreate Walton shed in OO scale. I have found a thread on this site which is very useful and bought a lot of railway books that mention this location but phots are mainly in B&W. Does anyone know where I can find colour photos especially that I can use as a backdrop? Also has the EM layout been displayed at an exhibition as I would love to see it for inspiration.
  2. How is the project going? I am wanting to build the same layout as I used to live next to Walton Triangle.
  3. By the old Uffington Station you can still find parts of the old trackbed on which interesting railway artifacts can be found such as this old signal and farmers bridge.
  4. Michael Delamar, I also wish to build a model railway based on Walton triangle as I used to live in Crescent road which backs on to the CLC line. My earliest memory of seeing a steam train is when I was taken in a push chair to watch the trains go by at Hartleys bridge. I am sure I saw a Black 5 go past. With my friends we used to play around the seven sisters and watch the freight trains going towards Walton tunnel no 1. The date could have been 1968. So I too have an interest in Liverpool particularly Walton.
  5. Sorry for opening up this can of worms again. I live in a very old terrace house which was built in 1830 with a loft playroom/bedroom. It has a dormer window and a huge big radiator, with a proper staircase upto the room. We are going to use it for my model railway and my wife's craft room. The only problem i am going to have it getting board up to flights of stairs and around a sharp bend at the bottom of the stairs. I was initially thinking of buying 8' x4' 19mm plywood, but I would have a problem getting it up the stairs. So should I build the frame for the baseboard in situ and in sections of 2 x2?
