Much like what’s (probably) going to happen to the massive, listed airship sheds (hangars) at Cardington, which are gradually being totally surrounded by housing. Some of the houses will be in near-perpetual shadow and such is the condition of one of the sheds, during storms some of its pieces have been known to fly off. So won’t be long before they’re deemed to be a safety hazard, too expensive to maintain, an eyesore and generating health conditions due to lack of sunlight!
Didn’t something similar happen to the Stewartby brickworks chimneys which recently came down, even though they were listed too?
