I use an Android app called "Randomiser" to sort the order of wagons on my O gauge shunting micro.
Free to download, simple to use and completely random!

Just put this in Sir Gwynedd class 47. On step one it stutters but doesn't really move, on step two it jumps to a scale 40mph and tries to throw itself on the floor. I'll put this one in the 'do not recommend' pile for you...
May be set to 28 speed steps instead of 128. I've had that with a few new decoders of different brands.
Take care.

That is sad indeed. In Torbay, Rowcroft, a leading local hospice, has several shops run by volunteers, with all the bonhomie you would hope for, but evidently has some sassy people in a back office who specialise in market segments. So folk CDs I donated after Deb died were in many cases put carefully on ebay, where the market is discerning, rather than lingering on a shop shelf on the off-chance of a sale. Professionalism has an important place in the multi-million pound charity sector, but needs to be the right sort, which this thread indicates may not be the case on every preserved railway.
Rowcroft were amazing when my mum passed away with cancer 2 years ago - so supportive to both my mum and my dad.
My sister in law says they are the poshest charity shop in Torbay!

O gauge in 4' x 1' - Cambridge sidings - my O gauge micro which is great fun to operate!
The senior scale has really bitten me, its so solid and you really feel you are building something when assembling kits, etc.
For the last few years, all my layouts have been 4' x 1' micros with plans for OO diesel depot and branch terminus micros to be built in the next couple of years.

On my 105s and 108s I soldered small wires from the pickups which solved the issue as it seemed that the interference fit was not reliable.

Going to EUFMO and the MRC shows at Central Hall were highlights of my youth. A ride to London on a class 310, tube across central London then a day watching model railways - happy memories and have shaped my life in so many ways.

Well Folks, a fortnight onwards, and much improved. The work regarding the shed has re-started, and I should complete it sometime this summer.
Common Branch Junction awaits....

I use a thin coat of Vallejo satin varnish applied with a brush, then weather as required followed by a final spray of matt varnish from an airbrush to seal everything.

During the period the 321s were replacing the 317s on the WCML, there were some interesting combinations.
Here, 321403 and 317335 form the 0656 Bletchley to Euston service on 1 August 1989.
My photos.

I've always considered exhibiting at an exhibition as another arm of my hobby and enjoy the interaction with visitors - hopefully they go away encouraged to get involved themselves!
Its always a nice time for me to play trains whilst in the company of like minded people. I don't charge expenses or anything, I pay for my own fuel, etc. and all costs come out of my hobby fund.
As long as I get fed and watered and a have good natter with visitors and fellow exhibitors, thats more than enough recompense for me.

With remnants of its unofficial "Redland roof tiles" name visible, very scruffy 08909 waits in Cambridge sidings for its next movement.

Mech Models out by St Georges' Park - although US outline based used to have plenty of basic modelling stuff.
Thanks @Bill Radford!
I never knew there is a model shop there, it’s only a few miles from me and we go to the garden centre round the corner a lot - time for a visit!
Take care.

First weathered wagon - a Parkside SPV van in faded BR blue.
These used to come across the flyover at Bletchley on the Aylesbury vans working.

What a shame, was my local model shop. Used to pop in lots for bits and bobs.

That W&H models price tab brings back happy memories of nipping over to Marylebone to their shop at lunchtimes to pick up kits and bits and bobs.
