Klinkerhofen safely back home.
Thanks to all concerned including the catering ‘staff’ for your hospitality.
Pity about the hot weather and the giant speed bumps! Are school age young adults no longer taught the rudiments of traffic awareness?!
-
Not able to exhibit this year as we are at the Loughborough Show.
Always a friendly show in a good cause. Go along if you can.
Hope it goes well.

Thanks to all involved for a most agreeable weekend at Pickering with our layout ‘Salsdorf’.
Hope the show was a success for you.

All being well, Raven Miniatures should be there with our German O layout ‘KLINKERHOFEN’

Thanks to all at Cleveland MRC including the catering staff for a most agreeable weekend. Nice venue and we seemed to be in a relatively cool spot, thank goodness.
Hope the show was successful.

We hope to be there with our TT layout and a full set of fans! SALSDORF is the correct spelling.

Meg, Simon and I hope to be there with our Prussian HO layout 'Eisengebrau'. Weather permitting!
Maybe Andy will post a photo in due course?

Elvis has left the building. St Combs is packed and ready for the journey south tomorrow.
Thanks to Stan and his colleagues for a great weekend. Pity the weather conspired to be so hot.
Thanks especially to Steve, Mike, Garth and Frank on the unloading/loading arrangements. A thankless task but well executed.
Hope the Show went well for the Club.
See you again sometime.

St Combs now slumbering in the trailer awaiting the trip to Perth.

St Combs now slumbering in the trailer ready for Manchester DCC Show this coming weekend. Thanks to Alex and his colleagues for a most agreeable weekend. Excellently organised, as usual. All being well, see you next year with the German TT layout

The Sparkel team (Meg and I) had a very enjoyable weekend. Thanks to Geoff and his colleagues especially those involved with the catering.
-
Meg and I look forward to being there with St Combs, Canadian National in N - April Continental Modeller.
Always a good show and one of our favourites.
Come and chat.

Four weeks to go and the forecast is snow. Fortunately that's for this weekend, but somehow I doubt that mid-April will see temperatures in the low twenties as we did last year.
Geoff Endacott
Having just got back from a ten hour stint driving a gritter/snowplough in East Yorkshire with another session due tonight, I've had enough snow for this year. If it snows for TRAINWEST, I'll cry then emigrate!!
-
We're there with Sparkel - Bavarian HO
-
Like many places Perthshire is currently a winter wonderland, something we won't have to worry about the weekend of the show!
Are you sure?!!
-
Well just think ..... you have lost a weekend playing trains but gained a weekend of overtime. So apart from paying the poxy tax man you will have some more money to buy extra toys.
If only it were all overtime. Weekends count simply as a normal shift. You're right, though, if we look on the bright side some more money can go on trains once I've fed the family and daughter's two horses!

Bad news people.
The Preston show has been cancelled due to the impending weather that is going to hit the country this week.
This may look like premature panicking but a number of our exhibits and traders will be coming from affected areas and we have already had two layouts say they won't risk coming.
The club can only apologise to everyone who was planning to come along.
From my post above you will see I had to withdraw anyway for weather reasons. Seems like a sensible decision to me.
-
Sadly, I have to withdraw Eisengebrau. A combination of the severe weather predicted for the east coast and related work commitments (I drive gritters and snowploughs) mean that I have to work this weekend.
Hope all goes well.
-
The Greek layout (Liualtia) sounds intriguing, any chance of more information on it, please?
I shall see if my calendar is free as I do like Eisengebrau anyway.
Cheers,
John.
Come and say hello and have a play

I think the "record holder" is around 950 miles.
It is amazing the distances some people are prepared to travel with their layouts!
Our 610 is small beer, then!!
-
Meg, Simon and I should be there with Eisengebrau - HO Prussian 1910.
Come and have a chat.
