  1. Not a lot! But then many threads/comments seem to have little to do with the subject of railways in general and I didn't know where else to pose my question although the connection between a Twin and Porthole coaches could lie in the train formation.
  2. Yes, but when asked about the Bachmann Twin they claimed to have no information. Could it be that their Dapol version is not selling as well as they hoped and may well sell even fewer as we come closer to the Bachmann release?
  3. I wonder if there might be more clearance for the OHLE in the old single bore tunnels at Standedge where the highest part of the tunnel would be over the centre of the track? I understand electric cables use at least one of the tunnels at present and the other may be an emergency escape route for the canal. Might they keep all the tunnels in use and reinstate four tracks to Huddersfield (or even Heaton Lodge)? But that would mean re-slewing the present two tracks between Marsden and Huddersfield and probably reducing the line speed which was raised in the 80's when the slow lines were taken out.
  4. Hatton's and Kernow have both announced their price for the Bachmann 10000/1. Rails, on the other hand, are very slow (or watching the market) and the relevant section of their website has been down for days but if they don't get a move on I shall cancel my option with them and go southwest to where the best price coupled with exellent service is to be found. What do others think?
