  1. Definitely the BC Langley Green but a bit later 1990ish...the signal box that was boarded up for so long has gone
  2. possibly some to Marsh & Baxters at Brierley Hill ? Never understood why at Tipton it was called Sedgeley junction or spelt that way
  3. Another cheeky request re BR West Country please could you nick some BR green paint from Farish its the one thing that Bachmann seem to get consistently better. Dapol and Hornby 00 BR green steam locos both seem to have a similar finish with a high standard for the lining but the BR green in both cases always looks too light/ washed out. I know some people you can never satisfy ... Sorry Dave if it sounds nit picking ...the time and effort you put into interacting with us on RMWeb is very much appreciated Am loking forward to purchasing a Dapol West Country ! R

    Dapol Class 22

Just to clarify the liveries on the class 22's what time scale did the class 22's remain in overall green without the half yellow warning panel......or did some receive a yellow warning panel when they were first built? R
  5. Very nicely finished, a very subtle paint finish on the prairie !! But whenever I look at mine let down by Dapol "misplacing" the front pony truck too far back and the rather crude boiler fittings (chimney and s/v cover).... I must get round to doing something about these one of the days. I had similar issues about the 14xx's boiler fittings but I have fixed these to my own satisfaction. The boiler fittings on the Ixion Manor and Dapol Hall are light years ahead. Thanks for sharing your excellent work R
  6. Hi Guardian A big disappointment to see the fault you have with this model which youve been waiting for so long. I hope a replacement can quickly be sourced for you! A downside of this beautiful and very detailed model is how easy it is to break/ lose items. I have brokem/ lost the smoke door dart and am trying to source a suitable "finescale" brass replacement R
  7. Unsure why but I had a feeling that the fuel oil delivered to rail depots in Cornwall such as St Blazey, in the 1980s to the v early 1990s, were "Total" branded TTAs. I thought I had some photos of St Blazey at this time but cant locate them so cant confirm if I am correct
  8. Will have a look but I believe I have some Lima cl37 bogies ( power and non powered) hidden somewhere.

  9. Just for interest anyone bought one of the "clean" bullets and successfully weathered it ?

    Dapol Britannia

...possibly a vain hope on my part (for the price blackening the wheels etc shouldnt be too hard for them to remedy) and I wasnt looking for one of the initial batch anyhow !

    Dapol Britannia

Think I'll wait till they produce the final ultimate improved version with finer blackened wheels/ motion and without those horrible cross head screws. The more I look at the Britannia model and compare it to the Ixion Manor the more disappointed I am with its overall appearance. Some of this I think comes from the hype that came from Dapol about it and the raised expectation from purchasing the Manor. Guess it just goes to show how much I think the standards in N have improved to say this.

    Dapol Britannia

Puzzled why the wheels are not painted......makes it seem unfinished/ a proving model
  13. ....ah well just need some Toplights and can Hornby improve/ reintroduce their GWR clerestory coaches with the mouldings in place Please
