  1. I am working my way through approx 5,000 Transport Treasury negative and slide rejects. Unfortunately there do not appear to be many Waverley route images, although followers of the Dundee railway scene will be in for a treat when I can get a load of pre-war images loaded to flickr. The following 2 views are from some tightly rolled and somewhat decomposed film. Unfortunately loco numbers are illegible. Carlisle Canal & Hawick very early 1950's
  2. Unfortunately the 'Waverley nameboards are a bit of 'fraud'! train was an LCGB special. Here it is at Waverley. regards ERnie
  3. Ernies Railway Archive and associated Fotopic Galleries are slowly being transfered to Flickr, but don't hold your breath! http://www.flickr.com/photos/irishswissernie/ regards Ernie
  4. June - Sept 1962 Truro - Falmouth 9B24 Falmouth - Truro 9B81 Ernie
  5. Ernie is probably THE man for pics of ScR - I believe he uses the moniker of IrishSwissErnie around these parts - (apologies Ernie if I've got this wrong!!). QUOTE The links to the Scottish Gallery is in my signature but is http://rniescottishailwayrchive.fotopic.net/ regards Ernie
  6. ]PS Don't look for more of these on fotopic - they're not there yet! But mine are! http://rniescottishailwayrchive.fotopic.net/c1350400.html Was it really 19 years ago when we were there, no wonder I feel old! Ernie
  7. 84 and 39 were at Peak Forest on Tuesday 21 September, 84 headed west on stone through New Mills South Junc (took the New Mills Central line) on 22 Sept and 39 had gone from Peak Forest when I was there that afternoon. 66138 took 10 minutes to shift a train out of the sidings at Peak Forest and then shut down (probably to cool off!) blocking both running lines when nearly at the summit. It eventually re-started the train.
  8. I have about a dozen views on this fotopic collection http://erniesphotos.fotopic.net/c950354.html Ernie
  9. I have added the 7 October 1946 Working Timetable covering the Waverley & Border Counties to my fotopic site http://rniescottishailwayrchive.fotopic.net/c1069899.html It is loaded in landscape format so that it is easier to read, there are some interesting workings including an unadvertised train from Hawick 11.18pm various Saturdays to Falstone and returning to Stobs Camp arriving at 2.10am on a Sunday morning! ERnie
  10. Most of my photos in these collections are from 1981 to 1986, unfortunately I have lost my original note books so dates are a problem. ERNIE
