  1. You may also want to wait a while as I understand from another forum that Minitrains will be releasing their own later in the year
  2. If you subscribe then you can never lose the article as all digital back copies are available
  3. CW Railways actually make both the NP one and their own as they are the originators and producers of the design
  4. Apologies but on checking, this is actually a 3v DC power input available from Maplin as item number XX09K
  5. Yes, OO9 'Crazy Track' and N Gauge Setrack are both Code 80 and compatible. When using the N Gauge track as OO9 I normnally remove carefully every other sleeper as this make it look more authentic. Watch out for the crossovers as they are Insulfrog. i normally place a mobile phone vibrator motor underneath to encourage any nervous locos across the diamond.
  6. My Dolfriog uses HOf Busch Feldbahnon the upper levl as shown in OO9 News Dec 2014. In exhibition use I always have a spare loco or two as I have found them a bit finnicky and you really need to keep the track surface very clean. In my experience the locos with connection rods between the wheels are a bit more reliable than the others. The steel strip between the rails is mainly to provide magnetic adhesion in order to improve electrical contact rather than pulling power. I use a 1.5v DC transformer from a well known high street electrical components shop to power things rather than battery. The Busch controller has an input for this on the side. In use the locos run at a fairly realistic speed from this voltage.
  7. I asked Chris if he could make both the four slat end and the two slat end variants of these wagons for my RNAD Dean Hill layout which is due at narrow Gauge South in April 2014. He has alo made both bomb racks and single bombs which can be used as loads. The detail is excellent but you must bear in mind that they are scale models and the ends are very delicte as a result. I have broken at least one test one. They can be repaired with strong superglue as I know to my cost! Good luck with your model === Jim
