I haven't seen any mention of the sound file for the unrefurbished models, presume it will have to be something created by electronic wizardry as I've never heard of anyone doing one up to the present?

I'm so glad I came across this thread. It rang a bell so I went into my photo collection and came across this picture taken at Sunderland Bridge, between Durham and Ferryhill. It shows 20184+20043 heading north with 6E25 on 1/10/85. Unfortunately the shadows do hide most of the wagon detail but they look like HTVs?
Hope it's of interest.

You can buy them new as a pair yes. Trouble is it’s not a cheap option and they cost nearly as much as the cost of the full coach not many years back!
My thinking entirely. Online enquiries seem to indicate around £15 - £17 per pair including postage, hence my initial posting.

Is it a BR1 (original) a B4 or a B5. Also, which manufacturer?

Apologies gents, original post amended. It was late last night ...... 😧

Bit of a long shot, I'm after one Bachmann OO Mk 1 coach bogie (B1, not a B4, B5 or Commonwealth) to replace a damaged one.
If anyone has a spare they would be willing to sell, please PM me to agree price, postage etc.
Thanks in advance,

I asked Bachmann on Saturday about this at DEMU whilst inspecting 37430 and there are no plans to do EM/P4 wheelsets , there appears to be enough space between the bogie frames to fit EM wheelsets should they become available from Ultrascale or it may be possible to pull the wheels out on the fitted ones , P4 may need some trimming of the inner edge of the bogie frames
I asked the Bachmann guys whether they were half or full axles with this in mind and they didn't know. I'd agree there does appear to be just enough space for EM conversion, might need a very slight thinning down on the sideframes.

Many thanks Simon, I'll get in touch with him.

OK guys, I give up. I've been trying for 2 days off and on to remove the keeper plate to drop in EM wheelsets and all I've managed to do so far is break off 3 of the brake shoes and damage two of the clips that appear to be holding it in place.
I haven't been able to run my loco or hear it, both of which I really want to do ASAP.
Anyone any thought?

Many thanks gents, I will contact Larry Goddard via that forum.
I'm grateful for your responses.

Has anyone re-gauged theirs to EM/P4 yet? I know there's a guide coming but I'm petrified to damage my 9021 in the meantime.
I think it was previously stated that you just pop off the keeper plate so I'll keep investigating (but very gently).

I have just acquired a Comet 4mm Full Brake brass coach kit and although I'm OK with building plastic kits, I think this is a step too far for me.
I realise it's not going to be cheap, but does anyone know of a builder who can make and paint it for me?
Thanks in advance,

First of all a big "Thank You" for introducing this option, it's money well spent.
One problem I am having is that when I open any thread in the Accurascale section, the old page layout including the "This day in history" pop up is displayed. I have cleared browser cache and history and signed in to RMWeb again but it hasn't worked. The "Themes" drop down at the bottom of the page is greyed out and doesn't allow me to change it to Premium. I'm using Chrome on Windows 10.
If I've missed this problem in this or any other threads I apologise but wonder if anyone has had a similar problem.
Thanks,
Dougals

Further to my previous post, I have now heard from Rapido who have confirmed the axles measure 25.7mm from point to point.
Hope that's of use.

Can I ask you nice chaps from Rapido what the axle length is on these? I model in EM and need to know whether conversion will be relatively simple.
Thanks,

Any news on the EM or P4 wheelsets chaps?

Brake rigging caveats aside, there are 26mm axles fitted as standard;
Any chance of a photo of the underside of the bogie so we can get a better idea of what's what.
